A letter to the younger version of me!

Dear me,

This may seem out of the blue but I am writing to you as your future is my present reality
now. I know you probably are lying in bed and reading a novel but trust me when you
think that your life is boring and you have nothing to do; boom there comes your life in
2030 which is full of surprises and miracles. A lot of events and innovations have taken
place, that would blow your 2020 outdated mind. Do you remember how you predicted
that in ten years, people will be living on Mars and everyone will use jetpacks to go to
work? Unfortunately, neither of those things have happened yet. However, 2030 is crazy
and totally out of your expectation. Everyone here is using bicycles as a mode of
transport as the earth is out of fuel. Nowadays, distance is the new sexy, because of you
know coronavirus. But the good news is because of all this environment has started
glowing, the ozone layer is healing, flora, and fauna are enjoying the winter sunshine and
finally humans are understanding the importance of mother nature. Keeping in mind the
safety of the environment, the world is developing through technology also. Artificial
Intelligence is making people's lives easier, there are machines for everything, they are
also making cars that don't require fuel or gas, or diesel.

You must be thinking that what are you doing in 2030; so you are now thirty, flirty and
thriving. Living your not-so-dreamy life in Mumbai as a lawyer in a small firm. Over the
last few years, there have been many changes, changes you wouldn't expect or changes
you wouldn't like. But it's ok nobody loves change and the only thing you can do is to let
things go, and that's life. You never end up where you thought you wanted to be. Life
makes its plan and you can either embrace it and enjoy it with all your heart or you can
sit and moan about it. I know that you are always worried about your future but you know
what, not everything goes according to your plan. Life is not a house that you can design,
you just have to live it and it'll design itself.
By the way, the future isn't that scary, people here love you, your colleagues are happy
working with you and your boss appreciates your hard work. Yes, sometimes you will
feel lonely, you will regret your decisions, you will face heartbreak but even though you
know how things would end, doesn't mean you cannot enjoy your life. Everything
happens to you for a reason and every time you learn something new. So, don't worry
about the future, just celebrate your imperfections and encourage yourself to let your true
self shine through. And I for sure know that one day you are going to be the best lawyer
this city has ever seen, and at that time your efforts will be your language, your success
will be your wisdom, your achievement will sing songs and everyone will cherish that for
lifelong. I also know that you always follow rules but every once in a while don't be
afraid to break the rules because history isn't made by those who follow rules.

So, that’s a tiny glimpse of your bright future and there’s a lot yet to be unveiled, but you
have to wait for it.

In the end, I'll give you a mantra that will help you to face your hard times:

"With peace in mind, love in heart, and smile on the face, always walk in life with
attitude and grace."

Yours Amazingly,

Future me.
