INTRODUCTION TO WINSOFT THULUTH PRO

This typeface was created to work in harmony with any Latin serif typeface. It is based on a traditional
Thuluth style. The Light weight is suitable for body text. The Bold weight is suitable for headlines and
sub-headings. Also these two weights are suitable for any document headings or any other creative
requirements.
This font includes identical glyphs for Windows and Macintosh, which makes it recommended for a
cross-platform use.

INTRODUCTION TO OPENTYPE FONTS

OpenType “.otf ” fonts are compact single-file cross-platform fonts, which can have extended language
support based on Unicode, and enhanced typographic layout features. For OpenType information,
including application compatibility notes, Glyph Complement PDFs, and Specimen Book PDFs, visit

OPENTYPE FEATURE HIGHLIGHTS

The most prominent OpenType layout features in these fonts are: Arabic/Hindi/Farsi digits, Farsi and
Northern African dialects specific letters, standard ligatures and diacritic positioning. Note that the
choice of which OpenType features are supported is specific to each application.

FONT MENUS
In a few Windows applications, instead of every font appearing on the menu, all styles are only
accessible by use of the italic and bold style buttons.

LANGUAGE COVERAGE
Roman, Arabic, Arabic used in North Africa and Farsi (including the ligature Heh with yeh above and
the narrow non breaking space).

MAC OS LANGUAGE SUPPORT

On Mac OS 9.x only the MacRoman encoding is supported for OpenType font. Therefore support for
Arabic and Farsi will be available only in Adobe ME applications. For this reason you have to install
the fonts (the 2 .otf files) in Adobe font folder : HD\Application Support\Adobe\Fonts.
Mac OSX.1.5 is still not supporting Arabic. This support should be available in future Mac OSX
releases.
