Dear Industry Stakeholders,

We take great pleasure in sharing with you the FIBA Approved
Equipment Guide.
The guide presents the member companies who, in cooperation with the
FIBA Equipment & Venue Centre, deliver a high level of safety, quality and
technology to our sport.
Each item of Approved Equipment has been tested and approved using
ever-advancing testing procedures and standards. The FIBA Accredited Test
Institutes provide expertise and consistency to ensure that the required
standards are met. The use of Approved Equipment is recommended at all
levels of basketball and is mandatory at elite level FIBA national team and
club competitions.
With the advancement of 3x3 basketball, which is now an Olympic
discipline, we are pleased to introduce the FIBA Approved 3x3 Equipment
programme. The programme aims to increase the quantity and quality of
top level 3x3 competition equipment and to raise the standard of outdoor
playing equipment throughout the world.
This guide is for the benefit of venue operators, event organisers, the
fans, and the basketball players – who deserve a high level of quality
and safety. It also provides assistance to the National Federations, clubs,
municipalities and governments who are involved in the building and
refurbishment of basketball facilities.
The member companies who produce Approved Equipment are each
presented on a page of the guide. We hope this guide offers useful
information to all stakeholders who share our interest to create high quality
and safe sporting infrastructures.

About the FIBA Equipment & Venue Centre

Founded in 1993, the FIBA Equipment & Venue Centre was born from
the belief that an increase in the quantity and quality of worldwide
sports premises would serve as a major catalyst for the growth and
development of the sport of basketball. Today, the Equipment &
Venue Centre has over 90 member companies who produce and supply
equipment for basketball worldwide.
The Equipment & Venue Centre sets standards for basketball equipment
and facilities, ensuring that they fulfil the strict requirements of high-
level basketball competitions, and the safety standard required at all
levels of indoor and outdoor basketball.
The Centre also offers consulting services for sports venue design and
fitout in connection with the construction of new, and the refurbishment
of existing, basketball facilities.
To meet the objective of attaining a high standard of quality, safety and
technology, the Centre established the FIBA Approval Programme for
Basketball Equipment – a global platform to find high-quality, tested and
certified basketball equipment.
The 13 categories of Approved Equipment, including 4 categories
designated to 3x3 basketball, are presented in this guide.

printing method, as well as improving the internal structure of Tokyo 130-0003
the ball. Molten also develops basketball whistle “BLAZZA” and JAPAN
