Father, we bless you for such a great day to learn and grow. We trust
your word that will hit us this evening. Therefore, rain down your
wisdom and insight to deep things we should know.

Lord, don't challenge us alone. Change us to become who we should
be in you! May the eyes of our minds be enlightened today! Shift us

is a fellowship of men and women of God. It was born in 2014 by

Apostle DrLightupChikere from the need to
1. Unite the Church.
2. Provide a platform of network and fellowship for men and

women of God. And,
3. Be a platform to structure the Church in Nigeria as well as to

carryout God's will.
What we are doing here today is our first online Couple's Fellowship.
Some years ago, we had Pastor Samuel Olabenjo, and it was a wow!
I am sure today will be a great improvement.

Biography of Pastor Paul

Autobiography
Pastor Paul is born again, filled with the Holy Spirit, studied Physics
Electronics in the prestigious Federal university of Owerri, has a
PDG in Education, and is married to a lovely lady named Violet.
As a leader, he has served in different leadership capacities in

politics, ministry and education.
He is the President of The Reformed Generation (TREG) Ministries,

a youth ministry based in Afromedia - Lagos with the vision of
raising a transformed generation.
Pastor Paul Chukwuebuka Nwokoro is blessed with both biological

and spiritual children.

True Life Story

I trusted him and we have been together for a while in ministry
before I met my wife. Even when my wife came in, I still did most of
the stuffs I had to do with him. We planned, prayed and studied the
bible together. Most times, he handles the affairs of our ministry very
well in my absence which made our bonds very strong. He rose to
one of the highest office in our ministry and I had confidence in his
loyalty.
Glory to Jesus, few weeks ago, he called and told me he is leaving to

start his own ministry! Should I insist he stays, or I should let him go?
That power to insist he stays can only be found within the confines
or jurisdiction of marriage.
I had to learn the hard way that no matter how early or late, your
wife joined the ministry, she and God will always be there through
the rigors and prerequisite of success till death do you path. Others
will come, some will stay, and many will go.
Sit back and journey with us, as we delve into the topic: GOD AND
A GOOD WIFE.

QUESTION
I will like to start proper with a question. If you're married, please
answer!
How many of you married a BAD WIFE? The Opposite of a GOOD

WIFE is a BAD WIFE. So, how many of you married a BAD WIFE?
If you didn't, let us know! If you did, also let us know!
I think I know why some persons are not answering. Should I tell
you? I will, but it will be more fun if we respond to questions.
EQUAL CAPACITY
It will be very difficult to say or agree your wife is BAD. If not for
any reason, for the fact she was created by God. No woman created
by God should be called BAD!
When Peter refused the provision of God by calling it unclean, God

was not comfortable with the statement. He rebuked Peter (Acts
10:28b). I think the same goes for women or our spouses. God is not

happy when we call them common or unclean.
Come to think of it, the adult human body has a total of 206 bones. If
a woman who was formed with one out of the bones in a man, is said
to be bad, that simple means, men can be 206 times worse!
Take a critically look at the life of Saul and his translation to Paul;
we will discover that he made exploits both as Saul and also as Paul,
though for different masters.
Every woman has equal capacity to be influenced positively or

negatively. If you think that they are some negative attitudes that she
is manifesting today, it therefore means there are very great positive
prowess that are yet untapped.
It doesn't matter what you must have seen her display, with the
understanding that there are great potentials laying fallow in her, you
will patiently dig through prayers, love, corrections, tolerance and
value, until you harness and access her very best.
Every woman's hero is that man who invested more in making her
who she is. Permit me at this point to define marriage as a bond
between two lovers, with the sole aim of bringing out the very best
from each other. This is a fundamental path of our success story.

UNDERSTANDING THE
PLACE OF GOD AND WIFE.
To appreciate the place of God and a wife in our journey to greatness,
we must of necessity define success. What is success? It is the
accomplishment of an aim or objective.
It is not a 100m dash race. It is a journey, where the end of one

introduces another. Success is in stages and every stage requires all
the help we can get from man and God.
You cannot succeed to the point where you no longer need the help
of God and the support of a wife.
HOW TO GET THE BEST

FROM GOD AND YOUR
WIFE?
The secrets of getting the best from your wife are not farfetched.
Number one on my list is LOVE. We will only take that in this
fellowship, then I hand over to our Apostle.

If I am to pick a role model with respect to how a man should treat

his wife from the bible, I will go for ELKANAH. For those who
don't know, he is the husband of Hannah and Peninnah.
Peninnah was privileged to have children earlier and by her

testimony, she made life unbearable for Hannah! Elkanah on the
other hand, had a proof of his virile strength with Penninah, which
revealed that the unfruitfulness of Hannah was solely her fault. If it
were to be some (Nigerian) men today, you can imagine the hell
Hannah would have gone through in his hands. Yet, the bible
recorded that he so loved Hannah that he bragged of being better
than ten sons to Hannah.
Elkanah made himself the reality of Hannah was praying for, what a
husband?
 There are men who love their spouse only when things are
alright. Those kinds of men will always enjoy their wives
ones in a while.
 There are other kinds of men who will love their wives when
the unexpected happens. This category of men will always
enjoy their wives at even and odd times.
My prayer today is that God will raise men like Elkanah, who will
go the extra mike in loving their wives more, at difficult times.
Especially when she makes those mistakes that is condemnable by
everyone on the street!

Imagine standing with your wife when, mother in-laws, friends,

colleagues, neighbors and all is against her? Those who belong to the
last category, enjoy their wives more at all times.
In this kind of homes, every disagreement ends with a stronger love,

value and care for each other. This is the foundation of a peaceful,
loving and a sweet home.
It was easy for Hannah to tell God, "give me a child, and I will give
back to you." If you were Hannah, why won't you say so, when
you had the joy, love and company of ten sons in one man!
This is how we love the kingdom God. The love we have for our
spouse covers multitude of sins.
Romans 5:20
Moreover the law entered, that the offence might
abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much
more abound:
God's love and willingness to deliver us from all our mistakes,

abounds much more where sin/offences abounds. Love is not just in
words, it involves: corrections, forgiveness and giving.
John 3:16
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only
begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him
should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Personal Encounter
I cannot forget that very day when my wife got me so offended that I
had to walk out of the house to ask the Holy Spirit what to do. This
is what he said: Buy her a special meal!
He said to me, if I want to enjoy the kingdom of God, I must learn to

pay evil with good, not evil for evil.
Marriage & Kingdom of God

How does a marital issue concern the kingdom of God and our
relationship with God? Yes, it does! The way we handle marital
issues in our homes, is one of the yardstick with which God will
judge our faithfulness in ministry and our willingness to stay through
the challenges in the kingdom.
If you cannot manage one wife, how will you manage members of a
church from different backgrounds and orientations?
I bought the special meal and took it home, when I presented it to my

wife, the sweetness of the meal made me forget totally about the
issue we had earlier.

Women will always learn from what we do, not what we say. Action
they say, speaks louder than words.
Before I could realize what had happened, it became our paradigm.

My wife will always prepare a surprise for me when I offend her.
Life, ministry, and marriage became sweeter and faithful for us. A
union where we are not afraid of offending one another, knowing full
well that it will result in something lovely!
Love is a unique show of strength.
So, does Pastor Paul sometimes have issues with his wife? The
answer is a capital YES! There is no perfect home anywhere,
offences surely will come in one way or the other, and how we
handle these offences is the best definition of which we really are, a
kingdom citizen or an infidel.
When I say offences, I mean disagreement in open majorly. When

your wife is exposed, there must be time when your inexperienced
approach will be countered. Humble men will see it as an
opportunity to learn, though may feel uncomfortable at first. But
proud men will stubbornly do the wrong thing and finally bring
problem back to the home. I have discovered that after every
disagreement brings a new level. Because we become wiser and
better!

Conclusion
I have written so much; it is time for evaluations and questioning.

GOOD WIFE
I would like to add four things, and then we pray and come to a
close.
We must realize that there's a similarity between your wife and God.
The theme of this fellowship and everything we have been saying
since is to emphasize it: Your wife or spouse and your God have
similarities.
Meditate on that!
Getting a hold of it will transform your life and ministry. Your

spouse and your God are so connected.
Here are four important things to note about God and good wife.

Relationship
After talking about marriage, Apostle Paul in Scriptures calls it the
mystery of Christ and His Church (Eph 5:32).
Your marriage relationship is a reflection of your relationship with

God.
I know your kind of fellowship with God by your kind of fellowship

with your spouse.
Marriage is a mystery.
Demystified as man's relationship with God.

Your Marriage Relationship is

an Important Qualification for
Being a True Minister (1 Tim
3:4-5)
You cannot manage your home or spouse, you cannot manage God.
Hear what God said about Abraham
Genesis 18:19
[19]For I know him, that he will command his
children and his household after him, and they shall
keep the way of the LORD, to do justice and
judgment; that the LORD may bring upon Abraham
that which he hath spoken of him.
God took HIS time to know how Abraham COMMANDS his

household.

This is why marriage relationship plays an important role in ministry.
Many people say Jesus wasn't married, can I shock you? Jesus was
married! He was married to the Church, His Bride. The Church in
the eyes of Christ is not many people. It is a woman. Everything
Christ does and will continue to do is for this woman.
Some-body there?
God and your wife or spouse is so connected that it affects whether

or not you are a minister in the eyes of God. You see, God instituted
marriage himself. It means marriage must be important to him.
Remember we are discussing God and Good Wife. We are saying
your relationship with your spouse is your relationship with your
God.
Pastor Paul is our main guest today and he has said so much. You
need to really read the things he said. They are "weightier" matters.
Are you ready for my final point? Are you?

The Holy Spirit is Your Wife.
Your wife or spouse is your Holy Spirit.
Think about it before you condemn it!
For many years the Holy Spirit has been considered as a female
agenda.
 Women were created to be help mate and the Holy Spirit is a

helper. Think about it
 When you find a wife, you find a good thing and obtain favor
from God. When you receive the Holy Spirit, you have
received a "good thing" and He causes you to find favor from
God.
Think about it.
Think of the characteristics of a woman and compare it to the Holy

Let the Holy Spirit teach you... don't only teach yourself.
