ACTIVITY 4: LANGUAGE EXPRESSION
Language expression is the ability to put words and word modifiers (prefixes, suffixes) together
to create a thought which is meaningful and relevant to the speaker, listener, and topic of
conversation.

Duration: 1 hour

Task 1: Watching Video video 1

2. Buddy shows a video clip of A grade 4 class doing science

2. Critical Friend (CR) is asked to watch the video and list


down at least ten language expressions used by the video
teacher.

3. Critical Friends (CR) are asked to present their answers.

4. Buddy encourages Critical Friend (CR) to suggest other


possible phrases.

5. Buddy distributes Handout 1 to Critical Friend (CR). Handout 1

6. Buddy chooses any of the topics below to discuss:


a. Should the government reduce the age of giving driving
licence to 14?
b. Should the government enforce all Malaysian Citizen to
get the COVID-19 vaccine?

7. Critical Friends (CR) are asked to practice the language


expression in Handout 1 in the discussion.
