Lesson Plan in English


Grade-IV

I. OBJECTIVES:

A. Content Standards
 Demonstrates understanding of the concepts of verbs namely the
following present tense and past tense form of verbs.
B. Performance Standards
 Properly define and describe in the class which is a present tense
verb and which is a past tense verb.
C. Learning Competencies
 Use proper verb tense to demonstrate the time frame of the event
and happenings.

II. CONTENT:
a) Identifying the present tense and past tense form of verbs.

IV. PROCEDURES:

Activity/Strategy:

d) Application
Task 2: Using a story the teacher will
instruct the learners to categorize the
action words they found in the story.

V. Assessment:
The teacher will divide the class into 4 groups. All the groups will make a
straight line at the back. The teacher will show a sentence on the board. Then the
students will then identify what verb will be appropriately use in the choices inside
the parenthesis.
