1 Make sure you do the correct calculation This study is an experiment study to check
for the interaction analysis to examine whether the separate treatment of knowledge

moderated by MV) affect teachers PCK by
comparing the adjusted means of each treatment
post-test score.

The moderating effect data emerged not by


summing or multiplications of the value of different
variables, but by designing a research procedure.
In this study action learning is assigned to the
participants before IV (Knowledge creation) to
moderate teachers PCK skill. Hence the score of
IV moderated by MV is acquired not by calculation
but by directly taking the PCK score after the
intended procedure (after teachers participate in
AL and KC)

ANCOVA calculation can include the effect of


extraneous variables to the post-test score using
the pre-test score that acts as the covariate for
the post-test (Street, 1995). ANCOVA has been
known to assist researchers with statistical control
to research with subjects with different
backgrounds using the score from the covariate
and is suitable for a quasi-experiment in social
research, such as demonstrated in Chen (2011)
and Songsil et. al. (2019).
