BRIEF INTRODUCTION

The wonders of Geometry are present everywhere, In nature and in

structures. Designs and patters having the same size and same shape play
important roles especially on the stability of buildings and bridges.

1. What ensures the stability of any structures?

2. Have you ever wondered how bridges and buildings are designed?
3. What factors are being considered in the construction of buildings and
bridges?

Congruent figures are figures that have the same size and the same
shape; they are the exact duplicates of each other. Such figures can be
moved on top of one another so that their corresponding parts line up
exactly.

1. Describe the two figures you have.
2. What can you say about the size and
shape of the two figures?
Two triangles are congruent if their vertices can be paired so that
corresponding sides are congruent and corresponding angles are congruent.
