We hereby confirm the appointment

of IKIGAI Engineering for the following:

Scope of Works for Energy Audit: Retail Centre, in Ekurhuleni

Level 1 and 2 ASHRAE building assessment, with specific focus area of potential for HVAC, Lighting and Rooftop
Solar. This includes on-site assessments, interviews with relevant facilities management team individuals,
identification of capital improvements, definition of operating practices and recommended improvement. Reporting
of findings.

Responsibilities were as follows:

▪ Planned the required effort to perform the Ashrae level 1 and level 2 audits, for the scope and buildings
listed above.

▪ Conducted walk-through energy assessments at the buildings listed above and from the walk-through
audits and documented (including photographs):

o Building energy use, occupancy, operation, and occupant behaviour;

o The important energy-using systems, processes, and equipment;

o Existing equipment nameplate information and controls strategies

o Preliminary Energy Efficiency Measures (EEMs);

▪ Collected quantitative data where possible and• identified areas where additional quantitative data was
needed.

▪ Completed the relevant ASHRAE templates.

 ▪ Submission of the findings of the assessments and all supporting data/information in a report format that
contained:

o Estimated savings from valid utility rate change.

o Comparison of EUI to EUIs of similar sites (EUIs benchmarks had to be determined.)

o Estimated savings when the EUI were to meet target.

o Estimated low-cost/no-cost savings. Financial analysis of recommended EEMs

o Calculated detailed end-use breakdown

o Estimated capital project costs and savings

o Completed building description and equipment inventory

o Documented general description of considered measures

o Recommended measurement and verification (M&V) methods

▪ Submission of report based on potential Rooftop Solar PV implementation with the financial analysis.
