Using literary texts in the language classroom can make the students more aware of the language they are learning, help them develop skills and strategies they can apply in many different situations and contexts, increase their interest and motivation, and make the learning of the language more enjoyable. Literature has the ability to be a source of learner inspiration for language majors. Literary texts provide a rich source of linguistic input for learners, allowing them to practice the four language skills of speaking, listening, reading, and writing while also demonstrating grammatical structures and introducing new vocabulary. This course broadens my knowledge and comprehension of the fundamental relationship between language and literature as a language major.
