BODY LANGUAGE:

 Direct head movements – logical thinking,


factual delivery.
 Shaking of head “she had introduced me to
anorexia” - still a sense of underlying
disbelief that she recognises also in the
interviewers however she has become
desensitised.
 Nodding – almost affirming what she is
saying, trying to get others to understand.
 Uses humour to cope – slight laugh.
 Eye contact – emphasises her want to be
understood.
 When there is a particular infliction on a
word Jennette raises her eye brows.
 Hand gesturing also helps her to articulate
herself.
 Laughter – portrays almost a confidence
about herself and an acceptance of her
experiences and past.
 Starts to look towards the floor in thought
when talking of difficult emotional times.
 Blinks excessively while in thought.
 Occasionally tilts her head when
explaining, while in thought.
 Swallows after talking of emotional past,
almost watching how they react and
agreeing.
 Keeps a positive tone throughout using
humour, laughs and smiles.
