Directions: Watch this video and answer the guide questions below.

Guide Questions

1. How did the director convince the viewers that the two characters in the first clip was in
A dangerous situation and escaping from the zombies was impossible?

- This question is not related to the video above but, I’m answer it anyway the
director convince the viewers by the theme and setting of the movie so that they
fell scared and there’s nothing left to them.

 2. How did the director use codes to make the audience think that Glenn died in the first
Clip? Do you think it was intentional in the part of the director to “suggest” or “misled”
The audience to think that Glenn died? Why or why not?

- It is used for the plot twist of the story so it will hyped up the audience and keep
watching the movie and I think the audience think Glenn really died because of
what they seen in the movie.

Directions: Consider the past. Recall some of the movies you’ve seen. Write a five-paragraph

- What I remember is the movie ghost rider the genre is action, horror and I just
realize it’s code it is meaningful its about having a revenge for your loved ones
and its Conventions it is a total science fiction but it looks real to me.

- This icon is symbolizes that our brain can produce a lot of idea about the growing
technology in our world and that it can keep up with the flow of the technology
and the brain is the most powerful part of the body because it’s where the control
center is its purpose is to keep us improving and keep thinking about great ideas
that no one has known yet.

- I think it starts with showing the two opposing parties fighting each other like
they are giving protest while the police is pushing them away and the reporters
will interview both sides of the party.

- It may vary depending on the both sides of the party that who will get a lot of
sympathy from the media and its all that matters the most. And sometimes there is
a biased presentation about that.

 How are the codes and conventions vary from medium to medium?

- It may vary through a certain medium that can change anytime based of how it is
presented by the help of terms used.

 How much of these differences will be based on the unique characteristics of the Medium

- There will be a huge difference between the characteristics of the medium is

depending of how you use it and how someone understands it.

Directions: Identify five signs and symbols around you that are used to convey information. Write How
these signs and symbols are used to make people in the community understand the Message being
conveyed.

 A no smoking sign in a place is a notice to say that smoking is forbidden in that place.
And it’s purpose is protect people who do not smoke or has a Respiratory problems.

 The one way sign is a regulatory sign. One-way streets typically result in higher traffic
flow as drivers may avoid encountering oncoming traffic or turns through oncoming
traffic. And it’s purpose is avoid unnecessary accidents.

 Always wear a mask sign is a regulatory sign that always remind us to wear a mask to
protect and prevent us from having COVID-19 and this is the most important sign
nowadays because of the pandemic.

 The CCTV sign is can be used to protect a domestic or professional dwelling from acts of
anti-social behavior and crime. And it can also help to deter anyone from acting
unlawfully around the property.

 A school zone sign refers to an area on a street near a school. This means that many
children are in the area. Children are not as alert as adults when it comes to crossing
roads. With this, school zone sign meaning is to serve as a warning.
