(UBANESWAR IN GST, CENTRAL EXCISE & CUSTOMS, BH! SoP FOLLOWED ZONE TO COMBAT COVID-19 GST, Central Excise & Customs, Bhubaneswar Zone, Bhubaneswar, from time to time, vide Office Orders has issued SOP/Instructions to be followed by the Officers/Staff of this Zone in the Office Premises and outside to curb and checkmate the COVID-19 menace right from its outbreak in the Country since March 2020. Some of the measures that have been taken in the zone are outlined below: L. The attendance of the Officers/staff in office has been minimised as far as possible as and when required and they have been instructed to follow staggered timings to avoid over-crowding in offices/work places: 2. Biometric attendance has been suspended. 3, Thermal screening of the Officers/Staff/visitors is being carried out scrupulously. 4, Practice of frequent use of sanitizers/soap and maintenance of social distancing have been encouraged.Wearing Mask has been made mandatory at all times. 5. Sanitisation of office premises is being carried out at regular intervals. 6. A COVID-19 Welfare Committee comprising of two Group A officers and 5 Group B/C officers has been constituted at the Zonal level to oversee the implementation of SOP/Instructions issued from time to time and to provide assistance to the needy. At Commissionerate level one officer has ve nominated to deal with the said work. Bach of the eligible officers/staff of this Zone is being encouraged to vaccinate himself as early as possible. At Zonal level, a camp is being arranged to vaccinate the officers and their families with the help of State Government/Private Hospital Officers/ and staff of this Zone have been distributed sanitizer, masks to some extent hand gloves. A few PPE Kits have been purchased and kept ready for the use in case of emergency while reaching out to affected persons. . For general awareness among the officers/staff/visitors, banners depicting DOs and DON'Ts have been put outside and inside the office Building. ‘The following Programmes that have been proposed seems feasible to introduce in this Zone. Some of the programmes have already been introduced in the Zone as can be seen from the above. a) b} °) dq) Ensuring safe, hygienic working conditions, compliant with extant norms for sanitisation, social distancing etc. Generating awareness of the prevalent conditions, precautions to be exercised at personal and institutional level, measures being taken at the workplaces etc. Monitoring the COVID status and state of health of serving officials and their families by the respective formations. Providing requisite assistance in the quickest possible time for Medical consultation, testing, access to medicines/ Equipment, any other service (Assistance with hospitalisation etc.), and Meals for affected families. Doctors from the CGHS empanelled Hospitals for consultation. Preparing a list of hospitals with adequate facilities. Database of suppliers of medicines and equipment. Vehicles to transport medicines and equipment, Details of ambulance services. Assistance with submission of medical bills, obtaining permission from CGHS authorities etc. The funds allocated under the Grant of Financial Assistance for Preventive and Welfare Measures for fighting against COVID-19 in CBIC may be utilized for this purpose. wo, KR
