Pre-requisite: To be offered with Consulting Course in Trim 4

Objectives: Trim 3 gives an overview of strategic perspective of an organization and

familiarizes students to core concepts of strategy. It is not however sufficient from the point of
view of organisations who view strategy as integral to their competitive existence. This course
is intended to give students a more advanced view of newer frameworks and integrated
approach as practiced in reality. This would make sense to them once they have interned with
an organisation during their summers and perhaps come face to face with realities as they exist.
In the past many students have raised questions on several issue regarding strategy and there
has been no forum to address these issues. This course is offered as an elective.
Outcomes:
After completion of the course, students would be able to:
 Understand the real issues involved in building organisational strategy
 Address these issues using more advanced techniques
 Look at strategy form the point of view of current technology
