3. 1-95FX1W G/Technology Pass Back failing when We have found a workflow where Pass Back fails when components only exist
1-EDSYGP Designer components only exist in in a detail window. For example, if you have a gas site feature that includes
detail window valves and main segments in a detail window, those valves and main segments
do not have components defined in the Geo Window. When trying to pass
back after making state changes to those valves and segments the user will
receive the error message : "Object variable or With block variable not set" for
each of those modified components. We have been able to find two
workarounds for the customer: Option 1: For each component that needs to
be passed back the user can create temporary components in the geo window
and the pass back will succeed and have the correct feature information.
Option 2: For each component that needs to be passed back the user can place
work points in the detail window and the pass back will succeed and have the
correct feature information.

Resolution: Avoided the error message and ignoring the features with no
primary geographic geometries for passback.

39. 1-8NJ9DJ G/Technology Add support for binding NULL values to Engineering Plotting When using bound values in calls to
Designer API IDataRequestService.ExecuteBoundArray, the support for
binding NULL values is missing. It is not possible to pass null
object or DBNull.Value object reference in parameters. The
underlying code does not recognize it as a valid value and either
skips its processing (in case of null reference) or reports invalid
use of NULL (in case of DBNull.Value).
In G/Designer API call DataContext.Execute it is possible to pass
DBNull.Value as a parameter.

Resolution: When generating the parameters collection the

software checks if a parameter is null. If so, it creates a
parameter of type adVarChar, with adParamNullable for
Attributes, a size of 1, and a value of Null. This was tested in
NetViewer and MobileViewer with several field types.
