Reflection and Expectation from the Course

As we will play big roles in the corporate world in the future, I can foresee that this
subject can help us a lot. Yes, this is excluded in our board exam subjects yet, this will still
educate us on how we will manage our business hereafter. Based on the syllabus I checked, there
are different strategies on how a firm can stay as competitive they are or how they can develop it.
This course can benefit us a lot because we will have an idea of how to respond in a real-life
situation.
Regarding this subject, I can see that we might discover new strategies in studying smarter as
students than before. The learnings from this course can aid us in how to be more analytical.
Well not in terms of accounts or money only, but to the broader aspect of the entire company as
well. It is also crucial to know how a company operates, how they manage to increase their day-
to-day sales, and how they hire additional employees. By being aware of such strategies, our
eyes are more open to the whole firm as we observe all of it to audit every step they make.
One of the fields we can enter is the auditing world, in which we can report directly to the
top management of our client firm based on their proposed engagement to us. As we learn from
our subject called, Auditing Theory, we are not limited to audit the financial aspect of a business.
Thus, we can also audit the internal controls of the company to reflect on how they’re doing it.
To see if it is ethical or not and how it will truly benefit the firm. All in all, this subject is
essential in our lives as future CPAs whatever type of business we're employed.
