Students will be able to:

- Listening: listen to words with long and short e sound

- Reading: Read a poem and answer questions

- Speaking: identify long and short e sound

- Writing: write words with long and short e sound

- Communication: students are going to communicate with each others and communicate with the
teacher also.
- Critical thinking: in the differentiation activity the students are going to think about names and things
that had vowels and share it with the students.
- Media literacy: the teacher is going to use videos, PowerPoint and pictures.

Common misconceptions for learners: Ways of identifying and addressing these misconceptions:

 Teacher will practice with the students all the vowels by

showing them and practice with them all the vowels (iouae)

 UNIT: LESSON: long vowels
Resources & Time Starter (10 minutes)
Teacher Will:
 Start her lesson by saying: Good
morning grade 3 how are you
today?
 Play the UAE national anthem.
 Ask the students about the day
and the date and let them say it in
a full sentence.
 Then she will ask the students to
look at the window and tell her
about the weather and give her a
full sentence such as: The weather
is sunny today.
 After that she will interduce her
classroom rules.
 After that she will ask a student to
read the cyber safety and COVID-
19 safety.
Resources & Time Main activities (30 minutes)
Teacher Will:
 Teacher will ask 2 students about what
they are going to take today.
 Then she will show the students some
letters and she will ask them about the
sound of them to check their prior
knowledge.
 After that she will tell the students and
introduction about the long and short
"e" and tell them about the differences
by showing them a video.
Differentiation activities (Support): Red group: search on the internet about something
that has a vowels.
