Human trafficking
All over the world, many people are being taken from their families and forced to do
things they don’t want to do. Some are being forced into labor to do things such as construction,
household work or even fieldwork. The worst part is that even children are included in this act
(“human trafficking”). There are many different industries in human trafficking, and many law
have been made to stop human trafficking but more need to be made in order to stop it once and
for all.
Human trafficking is a growing problem all around the world, as well as the united states.
Human trafficking first occurred from the ancient greek and roman times. Even though it wasn’t
called human trafficking in those times, it still has the same concept (“human trafficking”).
Human trafficking affects all kinds of people. Adults, children, women, men, all are affected
(“child trafficking”). One of the worst facts is that children are usually trafficked to work some
form of labor, whether it be in farms, factories, mines, or even entertainment venues. There is a
constant feeling of fear and loneliness with children when trafficked. It can lead to depression
and anxiety which causes the children to resort to suicide. Most targeted children are usually in
their teens, the most common ages range from 12-17. Also, kids that are less fortunate than
others or poorer are usually trafficked due to their families selling them into it for money (“child
trafficking”). To this day, many kids are kidnapped or sold into human trafficking. Human

The CNN’s Freedom Project is an organization trying to stop human trafficking in the U.S and
many other countries. There is a human trafficking hotline that is available all 24 hours
(“state.gov”). Identifying trafficking can help so much even if it doesn’t seem like it. Although
human trafficking and modern slavery were made illegal, it still seems to happen everyday.
Eliminating human trafficking would take a very long time. The government says just by

eliminate human trafficking. In the end, human trafficking is a terrible thing, and many people
around the world should use their voices to speak out against human trafficking.
