Human trafficking
All over the world, many people are being taken from their families and forced to do

things they don’t want to do. Some are being forced into labor to do things such as construction,

household work or even fieldwork. The worst part is that even children are included in this act

(“human trafficking”). There are many different industries in human trafficking, and many law

have been made to stop human trafficking but more need to be made in order to stop it once and

for all.

Human trafficking is a growing problem all around the world, as well as the united states.

Human trafficking first occurred from the ancient greek and roman times. Even though it wasn’t

called human trafficking in those times, it still has the same concept (“human trafficking”).

Human trafficking affects all kinds of people. Adults, children, women, men, all are affected

(“child trafficking”). One of the worst facts is that children are usually trafficked to work some

form of labor, whether it be in farms, factories, mines, or even entertainment venues. There is a

constant feeling of fear and loneliness with children when trafficked. It can lead to depression

and anxiety which causes the children to resort to suicide. Most targeted children are usually in

their teens, the most common ages range from 12-17. Also, kids that are less fortunate than

others or poorer are usually trafficked due to their families selling them into it for money (“child

trafficking”). To this day, many kids are kidnapped or sold into human trafficking. Human

trafficking is a horrible thing and it needs to be shut down immediately.

There have been many laws made against human trafficking in order to get it shut down.

The CNN’s Freedom Project is an organization trying to stop human trafficking in the U.S and

many other countries. There is a human trafficking hotline that is available all 24 hours
(“state.gov”). Identifying trafficking can help so much even if it doesn’t seem like it. Although

human trafficking and modern slavery were made illegal, it still seems to happen everyday.

Eliminating human trafficking would take a very long time. The government says just by

identifying a trafficker is a tremendous help in stopping human trafficking. When a trafficker is

identified, punishment is mandatory (“dhs.gov”). Human trafficking and modern slavery are

horrible thing sand they need to be eliminated from the world.

Overall, the U.S and many more countries suffer from human trafficking and are taken

from their loved ones to be forced to do things they do not want to do. But there are growing

solutions to this issue. The CNN’s Freedom Project is a U.S organization that works everyday to

eliminate human trafficking. In the end, human trafficking is a terrible thing, and many people

around the world should use their voices to speak out against human trafficking.
