PREPOSITIONS

• As preposições são meios de que a

língua dispõe para determinar
ligações entre as palavras, grupos de
palavras, frases e, ao mesmo tempo,
expressar determinadas relações de
significado entre essas unidades.
• Para expressar essa ligação,
utilizamos bastante, em Inglês, as
seguintes preposições: in, on e at.
Essas preposições servem para nos
dar ideia de lugar e tempo como
veremos a seguir.

OBSERVAÇÃO:
• Usa-se “AT” em certas expressões fixas que se
referem a pontos específicos no tempo:

• She’s working at the moment.

• He’s unavailable at present.
• I finish the course at the end of April.
• We arrived at the same time.
