Abstract
Suicide is a health problem that is in the global spotlight at this time and has been going
on for a long time. Suicide is a multifactorial and complex mental health disorder. Lack of
attention and communication from the social environment as well as a lack of
understanding regarding the potential for suicide in adolescents makes many adolescents
unable to help and have to end their lives. This study used a descriptive analytical
research method using secondary data with a cross sectional approach with a total of 285
respondents. The data analysis used was logistic regression in order to determine the
effect of the independent variable on the dependent variable. Based on the results of the
study, it was found that the risk level of suicide was higher in early adolescents with the
gender of women who attended junior high school. The Bullying variable contributed
0.867 to the risk of suicide in adolescents. The Social Isolation variable contributed 5.187
to the risk of suicide in adolescents. The Low Socioeconomic Status variable contributed
1.052 to the risk of suicide in adolescents and the Loneliness variable contributed 0.860
to the risk of suicide in adolescents. Based on the research results, social factors have a
contribution to the risk of suicide in adolescents. Researchers can then examine the
social factors that cause the risk of suicide in adolescents by adding to the contributing
social factors.
