What is plagiarism

Plagiarism is when you use an author’s ideas or anything from them for making a writing without
permission or credit.

Examples of plagiarism:

Copying someone else’s work or copy pasting from the internet, from your friends or paying people for
doing your writing.

Consequences for plagiarism:

If you get caught copying the words from the internet, you will get no score on your assignment and be
expelled.

How to avoid plagiarism

First is by writing in your own words, don’t copy all the information from the website. Read the
information first, summarize the text and write it in your own words or write only the important
information. Copy the source link you used. If you want to print anything that you took from someone
else, make sure the source is copied also. Who the author is, article and story name. And you must put
quotation marks if it was someone else’s speech.

Conclusion:

You go to school to learn and the teachers need to see your work but not other’s to help you learn
better. If you copy information from a website and it is for your own notes, it is fine. But if you copy and
submit it for an assignment, it is not.
