As a manager of XYZ organization, how would you perform different functions of

management so that you manage your organization effectively and efficiently in Covid-19
pandemic?
Introduction:
Since the Covid-19 pandemic has hit, it is impacting global businesses and economies.
Organizations whether it be of manufacturing, hospitality, or service sector has faced huge drops
in their revenues or even worse filed for bankruptcy such as Lucky Brand.
Main Body:
As being the manager of Khaadi, it is important to look after the wellbeing of teams and
coworkers at such unprecedented times more than ever. These are the times where we should
grab an opportunity and take major steps to avoid losses by establishing remote work
arrangements and schedules, securing supply chains, adjust channels, reducing employee
workload, and explore the e-commerce sector. We should offer the same physical products
through an online channel. Times like these where stores are forced to shut down and sales have
dropped drastically, the brand should hire influencers and bloggers to virtually attract customers
and promote business. The brand should along with selling garment online should introduce
stitching facility, this would provide livelihood to tailors who have gone out of business and
convenience to customers. The company should formulate pandemic specific policies in order to
communicate with employees and offer the support they need in this ongoing pandemic. The
formulated policies should include precautionary measure for both employee and customer. We
should make sure whether the employee is in perfect health or available to perform critical
functions when offering feasible working hours. Weekly online meetings on the Zoom app
should be conducted to update regarding the situation of projects or any progress in the
company's condition. To keep the customer engaged in our brand 24/7 customer service should
be active and a feature where customer could directly communicate with professional through
chat should be introduced. Social media apps such as Instagram, WhatsApp, or Twitter should be
used to post news updates and policy updates related to COVID-19 and create awareness about
it. The goal is to communicate with the employee and familiarize them with the available
resources Pandemic related training programs and online courses should be introduced to keep
the employees engaged, productive, and enhance their customer skills and employee
preparedness for any sudden concerns that may arise in future of the ongoing e-commerce
business.
Conclusion:
Companies must change their human resources, finance, legal, operations, and business
processes to accommodate critical exceptions, and should clearly communicate the new and
revised policies and processes and then review them through risk management criteria to allow
productivity in the employees.
