My experience

Ok, I will tell you more about my first semester experience studying at the Ujung
Pandang State Polytechnic. When I finished my studies in senior high school, I never heard
about Ujung Pandang State Polytechnic in detail. Initially, my friend had a friend who
graduated from the Mechanical Cooperation Class Study Program at the Ujung Pandang
State Polytechnic telling about him who would try to join the PLN PNUP cooperation class
study program list at the suggestion of his brother that made him so interested. I was
interested, but not in the PLN cooperation class, but with the machine cooperation class
and helped prepare the file with my friend. However, after we prepared the file we received
news that the class was being eliminated this year due to the pandemic's worsening. I
feel disappointed about that. I met a friend of mine who had just submitted a file with
another course. He suggested entering the file by choosing another study program and I
also submitted another study program file at PNUP, but I was not so serious and hoped that
I would be accepted because the study program I chose was more directed at vocational
schools in my opinion at that time. However it seemed like the goddess of luck was on my
side at the time so that I could be accepted. My name was written on the announcement
list in green on the laptop screen. That I am truly grateful to God for my acceptance on this
campus.

When I started studying at PNUP, I had a hard time. That the fact that I came from a
high school, not a vocational school, made me overthink after seeing most of the subjects
taught. I really have no idea about the course at all. The good thing is, my new classmates
are happy to answer any questions I give him and help me if I feel like I really can't do it
without their guidance. My days was spent studying on Campus and online classes, my
assignments was done every day.

I learned how to manage my time and how the character of each lecturer who
teaches. Besides that, I also learned how the character of my classmates so that we can feel
comfortable with each other when we meet. In the middle of the semester the assignment
became more complicated and there were many other activities around him that made me
overwhelmed with all of that. Maybe the real problem is how I can manage my time so it
doesn't get messed up. And finally, I minimize my time with off-campus activities because I
feel that the assignments are getting more and more complicated. And we learn together,
occasionally arrange time to meet or create a Google meet room and our tasks was did
together.

I just want to say, thanks to my classmates who always gave me help and
guidance. Although I'm sure we don't really know each other yet, as a result we rarely meet
in person and the courses we run are 50% online. However they are willing, our tasks was
did together. Okay, I think that's all I can tell about my experience in PNUP in the first
semester.
