HOW TO TAKE FOOD ORDER

Company’s Policy

Taking the guest’s orders and delivering them correctly required your good
communication skill especially with non-speaking English guests. Repeating the order and
remembering the person's order or their liking will give an extra mile experience.

Why is this task important for you and our guests?

2. To maximize guest satisfaction and minimize miscommunication

PROCEDURES DESCRIPTION
- Ensure you are ready with your Order pad.
1) Equipment
- Ensure you always have 2 pens

2) Approach the Table - Approach the table when the guest is ready to
order

- Maintain a distance of about 1 meter with the guest

3) Allergies and Dietary - Ask the guests if anyone has any allergies or dietary
requirements requirements before taking the orders.

4) Suggestive Selling and - Make positive recommendations to the guests on

- As a safe guideline, suggest popular dishes.

- Be aware of the allergies when making suggestions

4) Take the Order - Write down the order by seat number (if applicable)

- Make note of any memos or special requests


5) Repeat Back Order - Repeat back the order to the guest being specific
with any special requests

- Thanks to the guest before your leave.

6) Input the order - Wash your hands or sanitize your hand and ensure
they are dry properly before inputting the order

- Go to the Micros, to input the order with:

- Number of glasses (for water and wine)

- Seat numbers

- Special request and condiments

- Once it's done, Sanitize the micros with an alcohol


swab, and sanitize your hands.
