Section 1: Rationale (approx. 150 words)

The last two years I have learnt a variety of skills such as how to frame a shot, how
to create a storyboard and how to combine directing and producing roles into one
role. I know how to get the shots I want whilst sticking to a schedule.

This has helped me choose to do a stop animation as it will allow me to focus more
on my shot composition and make each shot have meaning. I can explore more
techniques with editing my own film.

My future ambitions are to learn more about film making by going to UCW and
studying film production. This will allow me to further my learning and developing
my skills. My long-term plan is be a Director of Photography or to work with in the
cinematography department.

Section 2: Project Concept (approx. 200 words)

The aim of the project is to create a stop motion short film that is about a person’s
first murder told in reverse. I want to incorporate Colour theory and focus on
cinematography. This short film has many influences throughout such as Sammy
Pauls - ‘BLUE SUSHIE’ and a short film called ‘Zero’ These two are my biggest
influences.
The resources that I will need to complete it will be armature wire, cardboard, latex,
acrylic paint, tripod, camera, wool, wooden dolls house, gorilla glue, basic LED Creative Media
circuit board, a clip of a police report of a murder case and final cut pro. Production &
