Step 3: Course description

The school in which I develop my participant observation practices is called
Colegio Guipas y Chavos, it is a private school located in the city of Neiva,
Huila.
The school at this time, due to the issue of the pandemic, is working
alternating with meetings dividing the group attended by the 5th grade of
primary school, one group comes face to face with all the biosafety protocols
and the other group is in at home attending the class virtually.
Using the computer and cell phones to access the platform, they use a
workbook and a student's notebook to develop the activities.
They are students who are in the social strata between 2 to 5, the grade I
attend is grade 5 and the number of students in this course is 24 students, they
handle a language level in A2.
These students are very intelligent, I have been able to observe that they know
and handle the language very well, some more than others, some with more
developed skills than others, and some really excel.
Finally, with the results obtained in the questionnaire that I applied in the
previous phase, I applied it to students not of this course but to students of
different school levels, where I obtained that most of the participants, that is, 4
students have a Level A1 and 1 participant with level B1 and other important
data found about learning English.
