New Ware House Safety Concept Note

The Following safety concepts has to be included in ware house design

Chemical stoage has to be segregattes as following

1. Solids Storage area

2. Liquids Storage area
3. Gases Storage area

Solids Storage area:

1. The Solids storage shall be racking sytem with maximum allowable stacking is 4 tier level
2. The rackng system has to be designed with minimum 1.2 Timees of maximum storage weight
3. The racking system shall be freely acessible for stacker
4. Racking System structure shall have hit protection and material fall protection from racks.
5. Solid Dispensing Booth shall be provided with Breathing air provisions and LEV

Liquid Storage area

Liquid Storage area Seggregated based on type of chemicals (Acidic, basic, oxidiser &
Solvent/combusible Materials , water reactive chemicals, etc… )

Acid Storage area:

1. The maximum allowable racking is ___ Tier

2. The Sceondary containment is mandotory for leak
3. The Minium sepration distance from other chemicals shall be ___
4. Structure and storage area ahall be corrosive resistance
5. Dispensing area Shall be provided with breating air, Scrubber
6. The rackng system has to be designed with minimum 1.2 Timees of maximum storage weight

Area ventillation:

1. Ware house shall have minimum 5 air chang cycles per hour

Lightheing & Illumination

1. Electrical fittings shall meeet the requirements of hazardous area classification

2. Area Shal have lightening intensity of 100 Lux

Loading & unloading Bay:

1. Ware House shall provide with Loading & unloading bay

Fire Safety protection:

1. Fire Load and water requirements shall be caluculated & shared

2. Facility shall have Emergency evacuation routes & Emergency Lighthing.
3. Facility shall have 4 hrs fire resistance
4. Facility shall have designed with Fire suppersion System based on chemical Nature
5. Facility shall have Fire Detection system.
6. Facility shall have PA system.
