1. Discuss the difference between assessment and evaluation. Give a precise


comparison. 10pts

The assessment and evaluation are most commonly the same but when you look
deeper into meaning of it they are actually different. When we say assessment it
collects or gathers information of the learners outcome performance in a specific
methods of teaching or an assessment. Assessment has been done in order to
improve the process of learning of a learner and which part of learners should be
enhance. Assessment focuses on the assessment methods that has been used
by the learners, when we talk about evaluation, the teacher gather data to
determine the mastery of the learner. It has a specific rubrics to know which
objectives should been achieve. In other words its the feedback. The evaluation
focuses on grades or rubrics.

2. What is the purpose of the assessment and evaluation?5pts.

The main purpose of the assessment and evaluation is to ensure and determine
that the learner learned something. To determine which part of the learners
strengths and weaknesses, what part should be improve more and the part of
which is learner is capable of. The teacher will now sees the learners progress
and achievement.

3. Discuss the three (3) forms of Assessment by citing an example for each. 15
pts

The 3 forms of assessment are:


 Assessment for learning - happens during the discussion of the teacher,
the teacher ask question to its learner by asking what are their insight to
the specific question. This is the question and answer portion in a form of
oral recitation or participation in a class.

Example:
While the discussion is on going the teacher calls a name to ask
their ideas about the topic or lesson they had. The teacher ask for a meaning
based on their own ideas.

 Assessment as learning - a self evaluation of the learner. They intend to


evaluate their answers or the answers of the other learners. This can be
perform through group performance or not. They give feedback and
comments as the teacher do so.

Example:
After the group performance of each group class A, the teacher ask
to evaluate the performance of each group by following the rubrics.

 Assessment of learning - this is usually given by at the end of the grading


or semester of in class. The teacher assess the learners through
formative, daignostic, or summative assessment.

Example:
At end of first quarter, the teacher give a exam to its learners.
