Accounting researchers have long been interested in the possibility of computation

strategies being utilized to boost reported income statistics. According to most reports, the

management goal in the actual world is to establish a smooth income trend through the use

of integers (Jain, 2015). This report examines evidence of an alternating type of income

enhancement that a business seeks to achieve. This type of target is based on the existence

of positive and negative integers. The income statement of the 2020 financial year of the

grocery business is observed in the attached file. There are negative and positive outcomes,

and the positive in this case are classified as credit, and they include earnings before tax,

cost of goods, revenue from the worksheet attached, while the negative ones referred to as

debit are the expenses and taxes.

The net earnings from the worksheet are calculated as a result of integer application.

There is an equation that yields to the net earnings, consisting of two variables. The

variables consist of negative and positive integers. They are independent variables, and the

positive one is assigned X while the negative is assigned Y, and finally, the result is assigned

Z. The equation is as x-y=z. It is linear with the number line concept that aids in calculating

the net earnings as shown in the worksheet. Net earnings are sum up to obtain the total

income for the year 2020 through a number line technique for instance starting with net

earnings of 12 and 21 to obtain the total based on the number line will shift to the right

from 12 to 21 thus generating the results.

Conclusion

In a nutshell, the report examines the evidence of integer's application in interpreting

income of the business for a historical period and aid in income enhancement. An income

summary consisting of credit and debt can be yield by use of integers since the income
