Company Introduction-
PESTLE is a mnemonic that stands for P for Political, E for Economic, S for
Social, T for Technological, L for Legal, and E for Environmental in its extended
form. It provides a bird's eye view of the whole world from a variety of
viewpoints that one would want to review and keep track of when considering
a specific idea/plan.
1.Political
Political factors relate to how the government intervenes in the economy.
2.Economic
These factors are determinants of an economy's success that have a significant
bearing on a business and have long-term consequences. Economic
factors include inflation rate, interest rates, foreign exchange rates, economic
growth patterns, etc.
Pandemic Crisis
We are dealing with Covid pandemic which has shifted education to
online mode. Inflation is there, and economy of India has degraded due
to lockdown. Learning is important, we can’t stop education whatever
situation arrives.
High Initial Cost
Despite being a more cost-effective long-term alternative to formal
education, online schooling has a relatively high initial cost. This is due to
the fact that in order to acquire digital materials, any student must have
access to an electronic device. Organization must develop a secure, easy
and reliable platform or application which also requires high initial cost.
3.Social
These variables examine the market's social climate and assess determinants
such as behavioral patterns, geography, population analytics, and so on.
Lack of human interaction
We cannot provide physical human interaction which is important in
social development and mental health of a student. Online education is
efficient way to learn. EduTree will try to make personalized learning a
top priority. The online courses’ design and delivery have a huge impact
on students’ satisfaction, learning and retention in the online courses
E-learning has become a new trend- Necessity not an option
Covid is a crisis and technology has enabled e-learning which is now a
necessity. Online education is the only alternative available. Institutes
are delivering education through e-learning only.
4.Technological
These factors are related to technological advancements that can have a
positive or negative impact on the industry's and market's operations.
Easy access to electronic devices
This is now 21st century where smart devices are everywhere available.
Tech world has become so advanced and made smart devices available
at affordable price. Almost every second person owns a smart device.
Online learning is now easy with having technology complementing the
requirements.
Internet availability
After JIO Telecoms revolution in telecom industry, internet has also
become cheap. Everyone has smart devices and access to internet which
allows E-learning easy to go. Digital educational material can be
provided and downloaded through internet.
5.Legal
These variables have both external and internal components. Certain rules
influence the economic climate of a particular country, while certain
regulations are maintained by businesses by themselves.
Cooperation with publishers
Effective online learning necessitates close collaboration with
educational publishers, who often impose tight restrictions about how
their learning materials can be transmitted. Almost all standard
textbooks, for example, cannot be shared online. As a result, educational
providers will be forced to rely on the services of specialized, online-
friendly publishers or seek special approval from conventional
publishers.
6.Environmental
Many of the aspects that affect or are dictated by the surrounding atmosphere
are included in this category.
Energy Consumption
From an environmental standpoint, universal online education
necessitates the use of electricity to fuel hundreds of millions of
computers around the world for extended periods of time.
Decrease in waste
A transition to online learning will undoubtedly reduce paper waste.
Consider the hundreds of millions, if not billions, of school textbooks lost
last year.
SWOT Analysis
Strengths
i. Flexible learning
Anytime and anywhere learning. Students can access classes from
anywhere and can access to lectures, material anytime.
Weaknesses
i. Dependence on internet
Requirement of internet and dependency on the bandwidth is a
matter for concern. Online learning is only possible if internet is
there.
ii. E-learning cannot replace physical classes
We will not have any personal interaction with students, which
will make teaching a lot different.
iii. Teachers not so friendly with technology
Technology can be frustrating for some, especially for older
teachers who are used to traditional approaches. Experience is
must to teach students and many teachers having experience do
not have knowledge and skills to operate.
Opportunities
Threats
i. Technical problems
Technical problems may arrive at times, which a student might
not be able to solve.
