It has been my good fortune that Hannah Knott has been my student both her freshman year in
honors level integrated science and now again her junior year in anatomy and physiology. She is
by my assessment, an exceptional young woman of excellent character and polished academic
skills. I highly recommendation Hannah for your selection committee.

Hannah is the quintessential scholar student- invariably coming to class prepared, enthusiastic,
and ready to engage in the material. She can be counted on to ask good questions, and to take
risks in answering novel questions. She excels at higher-order thinking tasks, such as reasoning
out a scientific explanation, and analyzing data. A poised public speaker with excellent written
and oral communication skills. She has a passion for the medical field and dives whole heartedly
into memorizing the vast amount of anatomical terminology and researching the physiological
processes of body systems. It is a joy to read her creatively illustrated notes annotated with
accurate anatomical sketches.

She has balanced her rigorous course work, successfully maintaining a 3.8 GPA across her three
years and is in the top 10% of her junior class. She has excelled in the distance learning format
demonstrating her ability to be an organized, self-motivated and resilient learner having
developed several online technical skills. She also has time to give back to her community
through volunteer work with the Redwood Gospel Mission food bank and San Francisco City
Kids civic event.

Hannah has the prerequisite skills to be successful in both college and employment. It is with
great pleasure that I recommend Hannah for your consideration.
