Listen for It… Tech Trick

Can’t find what you’re looking for? There are two system options for the PowerSeries
and NEO panels that may help you find what you are looking for. Oddly enough, it is in the
exact same sections of programming for all the PowerSeries panels (PC864 – HS2128.)

Time is very precious and we never get enough of it… we can spend it, waste it,
save it, invest it, but we can never buy it. Here is a tech trick that might save you a little
time from having to looking in every nook and cranny for a lost keypad.

Section [015] Option 2 – Panic Key Audible (Bell / Beeps) / [P] Key Annunciation

Section [018] Option 5 – Keypad Buzzer Follows Bell / Keypad Buzzer Alarm

Tech Tip: Toggle Section [015] Option 2 ‘ON’ = Y to make the Panic Alarm audible.

Tech Tip: Toggle Section [018] Option 5 ‘ON’ = Y to make the keypads buzz in alarm.

Tech Tip: Disconnect the system siren(s).

Tech Tip: MAKE SURE THE SYSTEM IS IN TEST WITH THE CENTRAL STATION.

Now activate the Panic Key on the keypad. Once the system goes into alarm the keypads
will buzz in alarm state. This trick could have save this tech many hours of frustration after
trying to find a keypad that was forgotten about above the kitchen ceiling.

Tech Tip: The keypad alarm buzzer will

follow the Bell Cut-Off Timer.
Default: 4 minutes
** Just activate the panics again if you need more time **
