Title: Marriage Story (2019): Director: Noah Baumbach, Writers: Noah Baumbach Characters:
Adam Driver, Scarlett Johansson, Julia Greer
The "Marriage Story" film was directed by Noah Baumbach was actually based on the
true story of Noah Baumbach's own 2010 divorce from her famous artist wife- Jennifer Jason
Leigh. He also pulled the stories from his friends and family told him about their own
experiences with love and heartbreak. It is one of the most acclaimed film of 2019. The story
about the heartwarming tale of two lovers who marry, have children, and then suffer through a
bitter divorce that shatters their friendship finances, and emotional stability until they are rotten
cores of their former selves.
The movie is Academy Award nominated incisive and compassionate look at a marriage
breaking up and a family staying together. Marriage Story isn’t a joyless film. It’s clever and
witty, with plenty of jokes about California, thanks to the bi-coastal tension of its central pair.
One of Marriage Story’s biggest successes lies in its straightforwardness. It’s not a story out to
change how you think of relationships or marriage. It strives for honesty, even if it’s cliché.
Charlie and Nicole struggle through the same things couples in countless relationships learn the
hard way, like how all arguments are the same argument had different ways, how the balance
between each partner’s fulfillment must be carefully minded, and how the problems that can
bring about the end are all there in the beginning. The hope of Marriage Story, then, is not ‘til
death do them part. Rather, it’s the dignity of any good ending, one that gives you the clarity to
understand the meaning of everything that came before it.

Title: 10 Ways to Build Daily Learning Habits into Your Life (18 May, 2018) By: Edwin Abl

Almost every day, we learned something new that we can apply in our life, but
purposefully learning does not just mean determining you want to learn something new. It’s a
path with many steps towards the summit. To openly learn new things, open-minded is one of
thing that we need to have to acquire new knowledge. Learning something small and applying it
into action every day is also one of a good practice that we can do to develop our learning skills.
The article listed ten steps to provide a plan for turning learning into habit. First one is to create
"A master timeline of your goals". The purpose is to relieve the pressure of expectations from
the overwhelming nature of the big picture while using the whole picture to guide you. Second is
"Design with simplicity" that means learning should take in short bites. Focus on one thing at a
time and get it right and then move to the next thing. Third is “Do not try to create more than 3
new habits at one time” because attempting to have many habits at once will not help you in
your success. Just focus on one or two to master it. Start with phases and prints, Visualize your
process working, Get going and learn, Make each habit do-able in sequential steps, Share your
learnings with others, Embed learning in your daily routine and Reflect and continuous re-design
are also listed as steps to build a daily learning habit.

Summary of 1 Hour Conversation: (Done)

For today, I had a conversation with one of my close friends during college. She now
works as an Associate Software Engineer in Accenture. We had a little catch up session and
talked about our new journey in life. She told me that she is still not used to in her chosen
career, there are sometimes that she feels lost. She is still thinking if she is going to pursue her
career in development or find a new career that can really her happiness and contentment in
life. As a friend, I gave her advice. I said that she needs to evaluate her decision before taking a
new step. We know that it is hard to resign from a job and find a new one specially these trying
times. I also told her that if ever she is done evaluating her decision, don't hesitate to talk to me.
It is always important to prioritize our mental health before anything else. So, for her, she needs
to find what could really make her happy. As a friend, I am going to be by her side no matter
what decision she will make in the future.
