Best Door Speakers
Any music enthusiast knows the importance of selecting the right car door speakers whether
you’re going for a long drive or just a short trip to the grocery store. In choosing the best door
speakers, the first thing you need to be aware of is the two different types that are available in
the market.
2. Component Speakers:
Component speakers are more specific. Therefore they offer better quality than there
counterparts. They have separate parts such as the woofer as a base and the tweeter. This
detachment allows for an enhanced sound experience that reaches every passenger in the car.
The parts of the speaker work in unison even though they can be attached in different places
inside the car, this also makes it customizable.
Quality of Sound:
Every speaker has its specifications and qualities. Even then, you must make sure to determine
the frequency that the speaker offers. This ranges anywhere between 10,000-20,000 Hz.
Speakers that offer a wider-range of frequency can generate more sounds.
Power-handling:
The power handling capacity determines the limits on how much power a speaker can handle
before it blows out. For this, you need to ensure that the car’s stereo configurations match that
of the speaker. In such cases, buying low output speakers may result in easy damages.
Measurements:
If you’re looking to replace the default speakers of the car, you might want to confirm the size
by taking it out and noting down its measurements. Luckily, custom made speakers are
available for every car model. That way, you can check for its configurations to match that of
your car.
Materials:
Choosing the right material type for the woofer and tweeter is essential. Normally they come in
different types ranging from materials such as silk, textile blends, and polyurethane.
For tweeter silk and textile, blends are not a bad option however these produce softer sounds.
For high tones, you will need metal or ceramics.
The other part of the speaker is its casing that protects the woofer against heat or humidity.
While rubber offers protection, you can also use cloth and foam.
Woofers produce bass sounds. Therefore the material used for those needs to be lightweight
yet sturdy. The ideal choice for this is polypropylene, but you can also purchase woven fabric
woofers.
