LOW RISK Acceptable, however task should be reviewed to establish if risk can be reduced further
(1-6)

MEDIUM RISK Task should only proceed with appropriate management authorization after consultation with specialized personnel and
(8-12) assessment team. Where possible, the task should be redefined to take account of the hazards involved or the risk should be
reduced further prior task commencement.

HIGH RISK Task must not proceed. The hazard should be eliminated or further control measures put in a place to reduce the risk to
(15-25) tolerable level. The controls should be re-assessed for adequacy prior to task commencement.
