Làm theo 2 bước sau đây để cấu hình OSPF:

   1.Enable OSPF bằng câu lệnh sau:
router ospf
   2.Chỉ định các Area cho các interface trên router:
Network
OSPF: HELLO Packet
ROUTER ID:
HELLO / DEAD INTERVALS: Declares Neighbors or No longer Neighbors.
Neighbors: What AREA u are in, AREA ID has to matched
AREA ID:
ROUTER Priority
DR IP: in the “Hello” Packet and in the back of the Router
BDR(IP):

Authentication☹ by default no auth but u can add

STUB AREA FLAG: OSPF has many types , CCMP, we need to make sure the same area types

OSPF: Areas

ABR: Area Boarder Router. (Require More CPU

Power)
RIP: Routing Information Protocol.

Usage:
speed up SPF algorithm

Summarization: reduce the size of our routing
tables
ONLY be done in ABR
STUB AREAs
LSA TYPE 5: external route (Example: RIP being redistributed to Area)

LSA TYPE 3: Internal Route

STUB : Do not allow type 5 LSA anymore

within the area

TOTALLY STUB : - NO LSA type 5 + NO

LSA type 3

NSSA: No LSA type 5

+ have ASBR

+ TYPE 7 for external Route

converse to TYPE 5 LSA to area 0

TOTALLY NSSA + NO 3 + 5

+ Turn router to ASBR

OSPF: Metric / COST:

BW: BANDWIDTH
- Formula: COST = Reference BW / Interface
BW
- U can change Reference BW on the Router
