A State is an organized political community acting under a government. States may be

classified as sovereign if they are not dependent on, or subject to, any other power or state.
States are considered to be subject to external sovereignty, or hegemony, if their ultimate
sovereignty lies in another State.
There are 4 function of State :

1. Implement Law and Order

The first function of the State is the function of regulation and order. This function is very
important, especially in preventing clashes as well as disputes and the causes of fighting that
may arise in society which become one of the factors preventing the achievement of State
objectives.

How to maintain law and order :

 The first thing to is to put those law in place, there are numerous activities that can
occur on daily basis that impact the laws that are in place.
 government has to make sure that they place a group of police in every community
people who break the law usually get arrested by an officer
 citizens in a country can help to maintain law and order they can do so by reporting
illegal activities that they see happen.

2. Prosperity and Welfare

This function is more increasing important over time, especially for countries that adhere to
the concept of a welfare state. It means that the state strives so that people can live and
prosper, especially in the economic and social fields of society.

For this reason, the state undertakes various efforts such as development in all fields and
strives to always create stable economic conditions.

How to maintain prosperity and welfare:

 Government should expand a potential economic sector that is highly competitive by

optimizing the use of technology, digital information and e-commerce.
 Increase human resource capacity through vocational education. Such as the
construction and implementation of polytechnics or academics in industrial areas.
3. Defense and Security

This function is needed to protect the possibility of external attacks. This State function is
very important because it involves the sustainability of a country.

The state must be able to protect its people, territory and government from various threats,
challenges, attacks and disturbances both from within the country and from abroad.

How to maintain defense and security:

 they have raised armies, and the most successful ones have trained and armed special
groups to defend the rest. Indeed in the twentieth century, governments have formed
alliances and fought great world wars in the name of protection and order

4. Justice

This state function is carried out by law enforcement agencies, particularly judicial bodies.
The state must be able to enforce the law firmly and without any element of certain interests
according to the rights and obligations that have been contributed to the nation and state.

How to maintain Justice:

 Governement has Judicial as a catalyst bring people getting closer with transparent
and independent justice.
