• LED green permanent: Power on
flashing: TEACH-IN function object detected
• LED yellow permanent: switching state, switch output
flashing: TEACH-IN function
• LED red normal operation: fault
TEACH-IN function: no object detected

• Place the test valve body (U

(U) at the nearest window boundary (upper
window
boundary). This boundary represents the tallest allowable part.

• Use the motor starter’s manual overrides to position the traverse axis
so that the valve body is directly under the ultrasonic sensor.

• Verify the inductive sensor B2 is triggered by the red metal tab on the
carriage.

• Sensor’s programming input wire (white) must be connected to common

(0V)
( t ≥ 1 s) on the I/0 interface terminal.

Place the valve body (L

(L) at the farthest window boundary (lower window
boundary). This boundary represents the shortest allowable part.
Apply the sensor’s programming input wire (white) to one of the +24V DC
terminals of the I/O interface ( t ≥ 1 s ).
The green LED should flash to indicate that the boundary has been stored
successfully.

Test the calibration of the sensor.

• Reposition the traverse axis to the start position.

• Move the traverse axis to the right by pressing motor starter M1’s
manual
override.

• Good valve body:

body: Yellow LED should be turned on when the part
passes
under the sensor.

• Bad valve body:

body: Yellow LED should not turn on when the part passes
under
the sensor.
