 Character Profiles
The Stalker
We don’t really see his face in the production, so he remains unidentified
however, he seems to have slightly good posture. In society, he seems to be
the awkward and shy guy who is around 16-17 years old. He doesn’t really
have the courage to ask the main character out, so he thinks about her all
the time (limerence).
His behaviour is attributed to Yanderes who seem sweet and caring, but
they are emotionally numb sociopaths with a lot of mental disorders that
stem from childhood trauma (crumpled/half-burnt family photos. Photo
frames smashed). They only feel something when someone they care about
comes into their life and since they feel that emotion, they will hold onto it
for their dear life because Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) patients
have an intense fear of abandonment and that’s where Co-dependent
Personality Disorder comes in. He mistakes that emotion for love, and it
becomes obsessive to the point where it no longer is love but rather an addiction to the person and
the emotion that they make you feel (OLD). Because of this intense desire for their affection, he’ll do
anything to make her his and if being violent (BPD patients can easily be angered and turn to
violence) i.e. knocking her out, abducting her and keeping her hostage is an option for him, then why
shouldn’t he take it?
He works as a barista at a café and is the one who sends the love letters and gifts to Hanna. On his
shift he accidentally flashes the soulmate bracelet that Hanna’s friend notices.
The Victim
Although the stalker is left nameless, we should have a name for the
main character… Hanna, a 16-17-year-old girl, is simply naïve. She has
a very rosy outlook on life and thinks that there is good in everything
and everyone.
When the stalkers love letters and gifts (red soulmate bracelet,
comes in a pair, she receives one.) arrive, she doesn’t question them
as she thinks it’s from her crush. After sometime, she decides to meet
up with a friend of hers and discuss this. The production will include a
montage of her getting ready for that extra play with colour i.e.
putting on her red lipstick.
Both friends will be in a café where a cute bartender works. He
glances at Hanna from time to time.
Curiosity got the best of her and therefore, she decides to follow the red string. The next
thing she knows is that someone hit her head because it hurt. In all honesty, we don’t know
much about Hanna apart from the fact that she is the sacrificial lamb within the production.

The Victims Friend

As a supporting role, there isn’t much said about her. She’s called Moss. Her Snapchat
username is mosspot34 and she is saved as Moss with a green heart.
All we know is that she is the polar opposite of Hanna, meaning that she is more
extroverted yet more cautious than Hanna. She is supportive of Hanna and her choices but
like a parent-figure she warns Hanna about the consequences but she does it playfully, not
in a grave or serious manner.
When Hanna and Moss are in the café, she glances the red bracelet that the barista has and
when he leaves, she teases Hanna that her and the barista are a match made in Heaven
however, she remains suspicious when he gives her his phone number on the receipt when
Hanna pays for the coffee.

Name Audition Notes
Sin Heng Chan [Side Note] Both of the actors who auditioned for this role
Liberty Clark have an experience with the performing arts.

Even though she hasn’t said a thing in her audition, Sin Heng
pulled off Hanna’s role in an amazing way. The sweet and
naïve expressions and the way she clutched onto the gifts
just made me think that I was looking at the character she is
portraying and not Sin Heng. On the other hand, Liberty
seemed colder, more indifferent than I had imagined Hanna
because Hanna should be this bubbly and oblivious character.

Stalker

Troy Harris Oliver was a bit too emotionless both in his voice and facial
Oliver Deacon expression whereas Troy seems to care more about the role.

Moss
Name Audition Notes
The audition was okay for Beth, but it was incredibly done
well by Olivia.

Olivia Parnaby Even though my character was slightly based off of Bethany’s
appearance and easy going attitude in real life, her portrayal
of the Moss and how Moss should be presented, is played by
Olivia better as she seems more sassier and can come off as
rude, but she is really nice which is what I thought Moss
could and would become in my production.

Olivia Parnaby is already a type of person who knows how to

deal with situations as she has been through a lot herself in
Bethany Talmer Jones the past. So, both Olivia and Moss are the type to give advice,
warnings etc. even when it’s not wanted but it might be
needed. Beth on the other hand, is the type to do life, come
as it may, as you only live once. If you get drugged and
abducted by your obsessed stalker, then that’s the fate that
the universe has given you.

The scene starts with a black slug.

BEGIN TITLES

At 0.04s in with the song, we cut to Hanna's hand hitting the

alarm clock to turn it off.

The scene cuts to black slug.

BEGIN OPENING CREDITS

At 0.19s (the vocals) in the song, we cut to a cupboard

closing and then we see the reflection of HANNA brushing her
teeth after getting out of the shower.

Music Fades slightly. Continues to play on Spotify.

She returns to her bedroom and sits at her vanity, doing her
makeup and hair.
MATCH CUT TO:
INT. HANNA’S BEDROOM - MOMENTS LATER
Hanna is made up. She has a 50's pageboy hairstyle with a red
headband. She stands up, and picks up the love letters she'd
received and looks through one of them, smiling. She opens the
draw to find more gifts such as chocolates and begins to eat
them whilst laying on her stomach and reading more letters.

A Snapchat notification lights up Hanna's phone. It's from

MOSS💚. She opens it.

MOSS (TEXT)
Are you still up for today?🤔

HANNA (TEXT)
Yes. The café, right? x

MOSS (TEXT)
Yeah.
At 2.30pm.
Be ready to spill the tea about the secret
admirer of yours ☕😏.
 HANNA (TEXT)
Yup!😊.
I will be!
See you then!👋 x

She picks up her stuff, puts on the hoodie, grabs her bag and
other outing necessities and leaves the room.

EXT. MULTIPLE- AFTERNOON

Hanna walks to her destination, the cafe.

MONTAGE:

Hanna walks by a busy road.
Hanna walks through a park.

INT. CAFE - AFTERNOON

Moss is already inside sitting at a table, drink a caramel
iced coffee. She's on her phone until she hears Hanna enter.
Moss looks up. Smiles. Hanna waves at her. Glances at the
barista who smiles at her. She looks away and makes her way
towards Moss. Hanna sits opposite to Moss.

HANNA
Heyyyy. How are you?

MOSS
We literally spoke a second ago!
(Pause) Well, it was more than half an hour
ago, but we move.

HANNA
Yes, well... Just making sure that you're okay
now. Can't I?

MOSS
I guess? There is nothing wrong with that but
as you can see I'm alive and well
(murmuring)
even though I don't want to be...

HANNA
What coffee did you get?

MOSS
Caramel iced coffee. Aren't you getting yours?

HANNA
 Oh...Yeah. I was about to!

MOSS
As if! I had to remind you as always.

HANNA
Should I tell you about these letters or not?

MOSS
Wow...I can't believe you're giving me an
ultimatum. Such a great friend.

Hanna rolls her eyes and stands up to order her coffee. She
walks to the till. She looks at the barista, looks away,
smiling.

The barista notices and smiles to himself. He goes up to the

till, takes Hanna's order. Prepares it. Calls out her name.

BARISTA
Hanna, your order is ready.

HANNA
Thank you!

Their hand brush against each other. They both look away.
Hanna walks back to Moss, who is silently judging her.

MOSS
So... You like that guy?

HANNA
It's nothing like that.

MOSS
Even though I clearly sensed that you're both
into each other?

HANNA
Like I said--

MOSS
Even got your name right. That's a first...even
for a total stranger. Most people spell it with
an 'h' at the end.

HANNA
Your point?

MOSS
 He's cute and all...but he gives of these
vibes. You know what I mean.

HANNA
No?

MOSS
Anyways...Love letters. Fill me in. Now.

HANNA
There's not much to them apart from the fact
that they all seem so sweet.

MOSS
I bet they are 100% cringe-worthy...

HANNA
No. Well, maybe.

MOSS
I knew it. (Pause)

Moss leans in.

MOSS
(Whispers)
Do you know who's sending those cheesy, old
fashioned letters?

HANNA
(Whispers)
No. But I think it may be Aiden.

MOSS
(Whispers)
My cousin?! You mean, that idiot?! Are you
crazy?!

HANNA
What do you mean? I'm perfectly sane. See?
Plus, I like him.

MOSS
Whatever. (Pause) I'm getting something to eat.
Do you want anything?

HANNA
No. I'm good. Thank you.

MOSS
Suit yourself.
Moss goes up to the display case and looks at the cakes and
other treats available. The Barista plays with the zippo
lighter. Moss notices. The Barista notices, puts it away and
goes up to serve Moss.

BARISTA
Need anything?

MOSS
Yeah. Could I have that cheesecake please.

Barista doesn't say anything and gets the cheese cake.

BARISTA
Anything else?

MOSS
No thanks.

BARISTA
That'll be £2.50.

Moss gets out her card, Barista looks bored and annoyed as he
folds his arms and lets out a frustrated sigh. Moss notices
the red bracelet as she pays for the cake.

MOSS
Thanks.

Moss takes her cake and sits back down, annoyed.

MOSS
He's a bit rude.

HANNA
He was nice to me.

MOSS
Maybe because you're meant to be.

Hanna looks confused.

MOSS
You've got matching soulmate bracelets. You're
a match made in heaven.

HANNA
You're saying this just because of the
bracelets? You can't be serious.
 MOSS
No, I'm not saying this just because of the
goddamn bracelets. Anyways... as soon as I
finish this cake, we're leaving. Don't ask why.

HANNA
Ok?

MOSS
And please remind me and yourself that we are
never to return to this cafe ever again.
FADE TO:
EXT. FOREST - LATER THAT DAY
Hanna was confused as to why Moss had said that. The weather
was nice and the birds were heard chirping.
Suddenly, a cold gust of wind blew.
Birds flap their wings.
Branches were breaking.
Hanna looks anxious. She feels as if something bad will
happen.
She picks up her pace.
Hanna looks around her cautiously, out of fear.
She begins to jog.
Her breathing gets heavy.
Sweat forms above her brows.
She pauses to regain her breath.
Someone comes from behind Hanna and puts a cloth (chloroform)
over her mouth and nose. She loses consciousness.
CUT TO:
INT. SHOWER ROOM - SUNSET
STALKER looks at his family photo whilst drinking wine
straight out of the bottle. Puts the bottle down. Takes
lighter and lights the family photo. Watches it burn for a
while before throwing it in the bin.

Hanna lays on the ground, motionless, dead.

Stalker looks at her, sighs, and stands up to pick Hanna up.

CUE: 'Crazy' by Patsy Cline ft. The Jordannaires
Song FADES IN at 0.45s

He holds her hand.

the bracelets connect magnetically.

They sway to the song.

The colours fade to black and white.

Where was I again? Ah, yes. She gets too
overprotective sometimes.
Like I have been receiving love letters and
gifts of all sorts from this anonymous person
 and even though she doesn't show it, I know
that she's suspicious of whoever is sending me
these.
Unlike her, I'm not worried by them because all
of those things are so sweet, and I just can't
help but to smile whenever I read their
letters.
It feels as if I'm finally getting the love, I
wanted all along. The love I think I deserve.
And I'll try to explain this to Moss when I'll
meet her later today.
Speaking of the devil, she just texting me.

A Snapchat notification lights up Hanna's phone. It's from
