The WR 250 R was first presented by Yamaha in Germany at the end of 2007 . After a
few years, the WR 250 R should again be offered as an everyday enduro with 250 cm�.
After the sale of the Suzuki DR 350 and the Yamaha XT 350 was stopped , a lucrative
market had emerged for them.

technology
The technology of the WR 250 R is derived from the Yamaha WR competition models.
The WR 250 R is intended to close the gap between the small 125 cm� and the large
600 cm� enduro bikes. The aim of the development should be an enduro that, when
matched to daily use, has the performance of a competitive machine.
