As per site Actual Condition, the construction will be carried out in two
sections A and B.
3. Immediately after the letter of NTP mobilization activity will start at site. This
will include following:
Excavation
Material for the back fill shall consist of suitable material excavated or from
borrow / structural excavation. Suitable material shall have dry density
according to AASHTO or any other material as approved by the Engineer.
Material for back fill, obtained and approved as provided above will be placed
in horizontal layers of uniform thickness in conformity with lines, grades,
sections and dimensions as shown on the drawings. The layers of loose
material shall be as specified in the specifications. The material will be spread
as per classification of the material in order to achieve the required density /
compaction.
For the back filling, spreading of suitable excavated material will be done with
the help of wide blade mechanical equipment like tractor in the horizontal
layer of specified thickness are as per site requirement.
BUILDING WORKS
After studying the issued drawing for construction, proper shop drawings will
be prepared after carrying out the survey at site and indicating the physical

Concrete will be mixed in concrete mixer as per quantity of the concrete.
At every opening proper RCC lintel will be provided cast in-situ. All RCC lintels
will be made after fixing of proper formwork according to size of the lintel.
Steel reinforcement as per approved shop drawing/bar bending schedule will
be fabricated and fixed within the formwork and after closing of formwork
When the super structures reaches to soffit level of the slab, proper false
work in shape of scaffolding will be provided and proper formwork for the

To maintain the quality of concrete, concrete mixer will be provided at site for
mixing. The concrete of foundation, beams and roof slabs will be done by concrete
lift.
9. Steel:

1. In accordance with the construction drawing, I Con Builders will provide the steel
bar layout drawing and bar bending schedule to the engineers for approval.

Project Manager and Quality Control Manager will closely monitor the progress of
the project, whereas project progress will be reviewed on fortnightly basis and any
float on +ve and –ve side will be taken in consideration and due remedial steps will
be taken. The progress of the project will be reduced by 25-30% in winter season:
however measures will be taken to increase progress in summer season. The work
schedule is prepared keeping in view the weather conditions of the region.
Proper safety measures will be taken at site. All the labour involved in hazardous
works will be bound to adopt safety measures such as use of safety helmets. Proper
sign boards and instruction boards will be fixed at site for guidance. First aid facility
will be provided at site which will be looked after by a male nurse, who can handle
any emergency situation at site Prevention from fire and fire extinguisher would be
available at site.
The general layout plan for mobilization will be prepared in accordance with the
proposed locations given in the “Permanent Site access and Layout Plan”. The layout
The primary activity of mobilization is to arrange the roads to access the site and all
the necessary points where the temporary buildings and the plants are to be located.
According to site conditions temporary access roads deal a great importance for the
sake of optimum transportation costs. These service roads should be put in service
gradually when they are needed.
Electrical Energy is to be taken into account as the source of the power for running all
the system and the plants. Until supply of power from the electric network, generators
shall be used temporarily. The electric power is going to be put into service by
transformers. Stand-by generators will be ready at site to avoid the stoppage of work
due to breakdown or shutdown of the electricity. Water arrangement at site will be
ensured to fulfill the requirements of construction by the time being.
The following offices and accommodation shall be constructed mostly using the
Containers provided with board wall cladding;
Engineer’s office
Contractor’s and subcontractor’s offices
Workers and Staff accommodation facilities
In addition to the above mentioned facilities, there will be workshop and store.
Site camp office block shall be adequately planned to house the project site
management and all the team members of the group.
Project Manager’s office shall be the most equipped office with regard to the facilities
and the staff. Key role of the Project Manager demands the availability of all the
relevant record and reasonable staff to provide any information to the concerned
people from the Employer’s Office, the Engineer’s Office or the project Management
Since the Deputy Project Manager is directly responsible to Project Manager in all site
related matters, attending the meetings with Client / Consultant along with Project
Manager hence should be able to handle the Project Manager’s office as officiating

implementation of the schedules, timely procurement, preparation of monthly, weekly
and daily progress report.
Conference Room shall be provided at site for Project Manager to arrange daily/weekly
meeting to discuss the progress, site issues and remedies with the Consultants, his
team member and the visiting delegations also.
Site laboratory shall be set up at site as per the requirements given in the documents.
This laboratory shall be fully equipped and functional for the purpose of performing the
maximum possible testing of the materials such as aggregates, concrete, FDTs etc.
Technical staff meeting the requirements set by the Contract shall be deputed to
operate the lab procedures under the control of Material Engineer who ensures Quality
Control and Quality Assurance.
This office shall be set up to deal with daily wages labors, maintain their daily
attendance and provide same to Account section fortnightly.
Alongside all the above facilities Engineering Management Services provides separate
facilities for the following:

Rest of the open area shall be developed to receive and store the aggregates and
materials required in construction phase.
Within the premises of this yard two other yards shall be developed;

STORAGE
Storage area shall be used for bulk storage of the reinforcement bars and other
sections of the steel to be used in the project. However these reinforcement bars
placed on elevated from the ground.
This area shall be provided with bar straightening, cutting and bending machines.
Skilled and semi-skilled worker shall cut and bend the Bars using these machines.
All the new materials will be staked over there. A Store Officer will be in-charge of
store along with two store keepers and helpers. This section will ensure that all the
demand of material from site personnel and office personnel is timely met.
Block No 1 shall be allotted to the senior most staff up to Engineer grade and Block 2
shall be allotted to Supervisor, foreman and like.
