1. A) Discuss briefly about designing the methodology. B) Describe how a sample size is
determined for simple comparative experiments. [7+7]

2. Discuss in detail about report writing and presentation methodology of data. [14]

3. Describe variance and standard error of mean with suitable example. [14]

4. How do you think the Histograms, scatter plots, and semi-logarithmic plots are useful in
presenting the data ? [14]

5. A) The following table shows the sample psychological health ratings of corporate executives
in the field of banking , manufacturing and retailing

Can we consider the psychological health of corporate executives in the given three fields to
be equal at 5% level of significance.
B) Explain the meaning of sampling error and write a brief essay on statistical
estimations.[7+7]

6. Examination of people in two villages revealed that 18 out the 127 people were infected
with schistosoma mansoni in village 1 and in village 2 a total of 36 people out of 143 were
found infected. Is there a significant difference between the two villages in proportion of the
people infected ? [14]

7. Describe the role of computers in community pharmacy. [14]

8. A) Describe how a computer is useful in patient record database management.

B) Write a brief note on SPSS.
C) In a sample of 400 people 172 were males . estimate the polation proportion at 95 %
