A pedagogical proposal for teaching the four macro skills using motivational strategies
Teacher`s name: Natalia Zuñiga Patiño School: IED Nicolàs de Federmàn (Guataquì, Cundinamarca)
Class grade: 9th grade-middle school Time: 60 minutes. (each session)
Students: 16 Age of the students: 11-13
Topic: Friendship Level: A2
In the order to achieve the motivation of the learning process of the four macro skills, this
pedagogical proposal will use different strategies such as positive feedback to reinforce his/her own self
stem. Then, he/she could feel secure to participate and practice his/her production skills inside the group
though all he sessions. Moreover, the sessions are going to start with a game or a fun activity in order to
create and interest and expectation of the student of what is going to learn; and with purpose to
promote the speaking skill during the whole class and all sessions. Also, the proposal will have different
materials; in this way the students will be more interested and don’t feel bored in any session because
the activities and the material will be different because they will be learning in different ways. Moreover,
the classes will use different visuals such as songs, TV shows and real articles and others with the
intention of showing the language culture and achieve the students interest.
The topic which was chosen is “Friendship”, this topic is interesting for teenagers, because with
this, it could be easily to get the interest and in this way the motivation to learn it, and through that it will
be easily to achieve the formal aspects of the language and to work on the macro skills., because it will be
doing with a topic that has a lot of value to them. In this way, through the different lesson students will
learn and study about different friendships; children, teenagers, grown-ups, among others.

they will do a scanning of the song, they will try to identify words that
they’ve already know and share with the class. Then, will share with the
rest of the class, what do they think that is the main topic of the song.
They must use expression to give opinions. This activity will take 10
minutes.
Writing: Students will create a short paragraph where they explain why
when children grow up are afraid to show feelings to their friends
(especially when they are teenagers. This activity will take 10 minutes.
The teacher will choose 5 paragraph and they are going to be on the
English wall. It will be different students from the other activity. This
activity will take 10 minutes.
