Soal UNBK Bahasa Inggris SMP
Dear Raul,
My name is Sandra Drake. I’m twelve years old and I come from Chester, a city in the north-
west of England. I’m a student at Chester City Secondary School. I’ve got two brothers, but I
haven’t got any sisters. I like school. My favorite subject is maths. I am so good at art. I like
most sports but I don’t like football. It’s boring!
At the weekends, I meet my friends and we talk, listen to music or go into toen. My best
friend is called Helen. She is great. What about you? Please rewrite soon and tell me about
yourself.

Pulau Ubin
A 15-minute-boat ride from the northeast tip of Singapore is Pulau Ubin, which is often
referred to Singapore’s last bastion. Its name, meaning “Granite Island”, is taken from the
many quarries that dot the island. Once you stop onto its shores, you can’t help but feel that
you have stopped back in time. Little hamlets from a bygone era remain till this very day.
And most of the island’s thousand-odd residents still get their water from wells and power
from generators. What is great is that the island’s numerous charms are unspoilt despite the
many day-trippers that visit here. Apart from its rustic charm, water makes Pulau Ubin
popular is the extraordinary biodiversity- you will find animals like monitor lizards, wild
boars, otters, hornbills and kingfishers to name just a few. One of the main attractions is an
area with a particularly rich ecosystem known as the Chek Jawa Wetlands. You can explore it
via a boardwalk from which you will spot corals, seagrass, seahorse and sea sponges when
the tide is low. All parts of the island are easily accessible by bicycle, which can be rented on
arrival
