founder. It basically provides services such as breakfast and lunch. Management
focuses on improving quality and production.

c) The production philosophy which holds that consumers will favor products and
services that are available and highly affordable thus management focuses on
improving production and distribution efficiency. Berlin View Corner restaurant
provides different quality meals with various affordable prices such as breakfast
and lunch.

It also ensures efficient distribution of its services i.e. it uses a self-services


method while serving its customers.

d) The target market of berlin view restaurant is the students and lecture mainly
who make up the market segment. A segment market is one where producers
identify one or more kinds of customers and developed the product and
marketing mix that is trailed for the specific groups identified and uses on
effective distribution channel.

Berlin View restaurant identified students and lecturers as its customers and
decided to come up with different equality meals for the customers. Here self-
service methods is used where by customer serve themselves what they want at
affordable prices with effective distribution for example those that place order a
round campus, their meals are delivered to their locations.

A product is a bundle of benefits which satisfies a set of wants that customer


have. Berlin view restaurant handles the product decision by ensuring production
of high quality products that satisfies customers. This is through the use
well
skilled labor and preparing different meals to ensure quality. In addition their do
extensive cleaning of the premises to give a conducive environment
thus meeting customer needs.

ii) Price decisions

Berlin View Corner Restaurant sets fair and affordable prices for their products
for example a place of food costs Ug shs 3000 - 4000 Ug shs, a cup of tea costs
shs 1000. These prices are cost effective because the organization covers all the
costs and gains profits

Berlin View Corner Restaurant distributes different products to
different customers around campus e.g. lecturers and students who place their
orders by a phone call. It uses the campus location map to trace for the
customers given the direction where they are located. These products are well
packed and they make sure goods are delivered to their customers while still in
good condition to the right person in the right time.

iv) Promotion decision

Berlin view corner restaurant promotes its products to different customers i.e. for
the new customers a sample of food is given and it further puts up notices
showing the different kinds of food prepared each with a price allocated
in different places of the campus e.g. the small gate. This creates awareness to
the target market.

v) People

Berlin View Corner Restaurant had as well equipped workers such as chefs and
waiters who provide their services These workers are very clean and put on a
white outfit to improve on their appearance. They are professional, skilled and
committed to providing quality services. Therefore this improved service quality
by the workers leads to higher profits.
e) Recommendations

We recommend Berlin View Corner Restaurant to further train its workers and equip
them with more knowledge on how to come up with continuous quality product and
also to adopt the use of advanced technology like using electric warmers, oven to keep
their food warm and ready for service thus improving on their product quality for better
performance.

We recommend Berlin View Corner Restaurant or to open up an online website which


can easily be accessible by the target market who would like to place orders for easy
communication and give feedback. This is because the target easily accesses internet
due to free Wi-Fi around campus.

products and offered discounts to customers who buy on daily basis and also in bulk in
order to encourage them to make more purchases and also influence others to buy
from it thus making profits at the fair prices set by the organizations.

We recommend Berlin View Corner Restaurant to brand its self-further and this should
be done by branding their packing materials such as paper bags including their
locations , contact details and name. It should also come up with a unique outfit for its
workers labeled with its logo and name of the worker for easy identification.

as juice and snacks for example sausages, juices and other fast foods in order to
satisfy consumers’ needs and wants.
