2010

A new era has arisen in the seed and plant industry for the Walker family.
Jersey Asparagus Farms, Inc. is downsizing and will only market and sell Jer-
sey Asparagus Seed. Walker Brothers, Inc will now be responsible for the
marketing of the plants along with their newly acquired asparagus seed varie-
ties. At the International Asparagus Symposium held in Lima, Peru on Octo-
ber 29, 2009, an announcement was made regarding the transference of the
production and marketing of asparagus seed varieties bred by Brian Benson
and produced by California Asparagus Seed and Transplants, Inc. (CAST)
to Walker Brothers, Inc.. The Walkers intend to begin marketing and selling
these highly demanded seed varieties in 2011. The varieties transferred over
include Atlas, Grande, Apollo, UC 157 and Purple Passion. The Walkers will
also be selling the asparagus, strawberry, blueberry, raspberry, rhubarb, horse-
radish and goji plants.
We are very excited to meet a new group of customers through our latest ven-
ture and to also remain in good standing with our past ones. We, the Walkers,
are known for our family owned agricultural business in operation since the
mid 1800's. As fifth generation owners, we have experience and knowledge
in all aspects of the asparagus and plant industries. Our goals are to produce
high quality hybrid asparagus seed and to provide our past, present and future
customers with the depth of our experience and outstanding service. We have
over 40 years of experience in fresh market asparagus production, 30 years in
asparagus crown production and 25 years in hybrid asparagus seed production
and marketing.

Shipping Information
All of our prices are based on shipping within the continental United States. The
orders are shipped via USPS, UPS or Common Carrier unless otherwise specified.
We try our best to meet your requested ship date, however we do occasionally run
into weather problems that will delay the processing of orders.
To avoid having an order sit in a UPS warehouse over a weekend, customers lo-
cated in the following states: WA,OR,ID,MT,WY,NV,UT,AZ,NM have the option
of selecting their order be shipped UPS Next Day, 2nd Day or 3rd Day. You will be
billed accordingly. We are no longer able to ship in to the state of California due to
the high costs associated with CA import permits and phytosanitary certifications.
Goji plants are the ONLY exception.
Walker Brothers, Inc. reserves the right to make appropriate substitutions on dis-
counted or unavailable items unless otherwise notified prior to your ship date. We
guarantee our plants to arrive in good condition and to be true to name. Claims for
plants arriving in poor condition must be made immediately upon receipt of ship-
ment. Cancellation of orders and all other claims must be made within 30 days prior
to your scheduled ship date. If we are not notified within this time period, all orders
will be considered nonrefundable.
Asexual reproduction is prohibited by law for varieties protected by the U.S. Plant
Patent Laws. Payment of your order is acknowledgement of this law. Plants can be
used for fruit production ONLY.
Handling Fee - An additional fee of $2.50 per 1,000 will be applied to those of
you who will be picking up 1,000 or more plants at Walker Brothers, Inc.

SUMMER REDS
NOVA-Plants are upright with long fruiting laterals. It produces medium size, bright red, firm
fruit. Nova is very hardy, vigorous and resists most common red raspberry diseases including rust.
ENCORE-Encore has large, dry berries with good flavor. Released from Cornell, it has good vigor,
winter tolerance and the plants sucker well. A popular choice for roadside markets. PP11746
LAUREN-A multi-state effort has developed this variety that is high yielding. It has very large
berries with a moderate flavor. Lauren is reasonably winter tolerant and has some good resistance
to Phytophthora root rot. Growers will appreciate its firm berries that make for a good shipping berry.
EARLY SEASON
JERSEY GIANT-A popular choice for both the home gardener and the commercial
grower. The Giant is tolerant to the colder climates. Its spears emerge approximately 7
to 10 days earlier than Jersey Knight. A high yielder with great taste.
JERSEY SUPREME-The Supreme has the highest yields of all the Jersey male hy-
brids. It has medium sized spears with a great taste. Like the Jersey Giant, this variety is
also earlier and cold tolerant.

SUMMER BLACK
JEWEL-Popular, high yielding black raspberry variety. It has excellent quality, large berries that

EARLY SEASON
EARLIGLOW-Our most popular variety! Earliglow is known for its irresistibly sweet flavor.
Researchers at Cornell U. have found that this sweet flavor contains high levels of antioxidants
that benefit in the body’s fight against cancer and heart disease. Growers love its berry size and
disease resistance.
HONEOYE–A heavy yielder with excellent winter tolerance. It produces large, firm berries mak-
ing this a perfect freezing variety. Honeoye has shown good resistance to fruit rot. Flavor is best
when it is grown in lighter soils.
SURECROP–A great beginner berry! This variety is an extremely vigorous plant. It will grow
well in almost all soil types. The Surecrop is a good yielder of firm, medium to large sized berries.
It is disease resistant and great for freezing. It has been called the “dessert berry” because of its

WENDY-A newer Canadian variety with conic shaped berries that are bright red colored and

DUKE-(3 yr old 18-24” plant) Vigorous and high yielding, this early season variety has top qual-
