Welcome to the Uconnect® Dealer Guide, highlighting key features and Connected Services. Your knowledge and understanding of these award-winning systems is critical to helping
customers discover and appreciate the capabilities of every Uconnect system.

In addition to sharing your knowledge of Uconnect systems, helping customers set up the Connected Services FREE trial available on many FCA US LLC vehicles is key to great
sales and ownership experiences. Utilizing the Connected Services aspect provides your dealership the opportunity to receive a 16% increase in service retention with registered
connected vehicle customers compared to non-connected vehicle customers.

Spending a few minutes going through this guide will help you be better prepared to guide your sales and service customers through the award-winning Uconnect systems.

WHAT IS UCONNECT?
Uconnect is FCA US LLC's infotainment system for Fiat Chrysler Automobiles. This feature-packed communication, information and navigation system helps drivers stay connected to the
things that matter most.

An integral part of Uconnect is Connected Services that allow FCA US and our dealerships to reach and service owners long after the initial vehicle sale. Supported by strategic
partnerships with innovative technology and entertainment leaders, Uconnect provides a superior combination of on-demand information, connections and content. As we continue
to evolve, connectivity will remain the foundation of our mission to apply award-winning design, technical acumen and consumer insight to make every drive exceptionally secure and
informed.

What vehicles qualify?
• The vehicle must be equipped with SiriusXM Satellite Radio capability
• The customer’s vehicle must be out of their free trial or paid subscription for over
12 months
• About 10 million FCA US vehicles qualify for the trial nationwide
Why:
• SiriusXM Satellite Radio is very important to dealership customers, ranking #2 in
UCONNECT STATUS TAB “essential equipment” in a 2017 third-party study showing SiriusXM Satellite Radio as
New functionality has been added to the DealerCONNECT VIP Single VIN Inquiry. A highly valued by new vehicle buyers
dedicated Uconnect Status tab will take the place of the Required Maintenance tab. • There are 10 million FCA US vehicles on the road that have satellite radio capability

ACTIVATE SIRIUSXM SATELLITE RADIO TRIALS IN REAL TIME IN THE
SERVICE LANE
Included in the new Uconnect Status tab is the ability for your dealership to provide a free
2-month all-access satellite radio trial subscription.
The free trial subscription helps differentiate your dealership from your aftermarket competition.
It involves no commitment from your dealership or the customer. No customer credit cards are
required for enrollment and dealerships will not be charged for providing the service.

(phone and audio). Bluetooth® phone pairing is quick and easy and usually takes less
than a minute to complete. One of the secrets to high survey scores is not just the ability
to maintain vehicles, but the ability to exceed the owner’s expectations. Many successful
dealerships have turned to “product specialists” who understand how to educate
customers on vehicle technology prior to delivery or in the service lane. Bluetooth
phone pairing and explaining Uconnect® features will improve customer satisfaction
and your dealership satisfaction scores.
5. Uconnect is introducing a new app specifically designed to provide your customers with
an easy-to-use mobile app. The new app is called Uconnect and is required for 2018
model year Uconnect + SiriusXM GuardianTM connected vehicles. This app also works
with Uconnect Access vehicles and Uconnect + SiriusXM Guardian vehicles. The new
app can be found in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store by searching keyword
“Uconnect.” Look for the teal icon.

 ducate your customers on their trial period durations (ex., SiriusXM Satellite Radio – 1
Year; Uconnect + SiriusXM Guardian – 12 months from the original date of purchase
or lease).

HELP CUSTOMERS ACTIVATE THEIR CONNECTED SERVICES
Many vehicles are equipped with either Uconnect® Access or Uconnect + SiriusXM Guardian™ Connected Services.

Uconnect Access debuted on the 2013 Ram 1500 and has since been available on many Uconnect + SiriusXM Guardian debuted on the 2017 Chrysler 300, Dodge Charger and
other vehicle models. Challenger, and will soon be offered on many other 2018 vehicle models going forward.

UCONNECT® APP CONNECTED SERVICES VIA THE UCONNECT APP:
After activating Connected Services, your customer should download the Uconnect® app To use Connected Services, the customer must first activate their services where they will

REMOTE DOOR LOCK/UNLOCK

REMOTE HORN AND LIGHTS


Customers can use the smartphone mobile app to honk the horn and flash the lights to
help find their vehicle in a crowded parking lot. They can also perform this service by
logging in to the Mopar.com owner site or contacting the call center.

REMOTE VEHICLE START


Customers can start their car from virtually anywhere with their smartphone mobile app.
This lets them warm or cool the vehicle before they get in (if vehicle is properly equipped
with Remote Start).

VEHICLE FINDER
People sometimes forget where they parked their car. Customers can use the smartphone
mobile app to locate their vehicle without wandering around looking.

SEND & GO
Customers can use the smartphone mobile app to easily search, map and send locations
directly to the vehicle’s navigation system (requires Uconnect Navigation). It’s easy to use
and great for quick access on the go.

The vehicle health report is an email report (and is available in the Uconnect® app) about
your customer’s vehicle that is delivered once a month. It allows them to review the status
of some of their vehicle’s key systems and quickly determine if they need to take further
action at a glance. The report provides the vehicle’s VIN, mileage, tire pressure levels,
scheduled maintenance and last servicing dealer. It monitors key powertrain, oil, fluid, brake,
suspension, safety and security systems. The report will inform your customers if action on
these systems is required or suggested. The specific systems it monitors are:

Your dealership may now offer customers who have a vehicle with an 8.4-inch
Uconnect® system the ability to activate navigation at the time the vehicle is sold, or at
any time after the sale.
• You can upgrade your customer’s radio to access vehicle-integrated navigation,

The RA3 navigation upgrade does not include all of the features included on the RA4

SIRIUSXM® SATELLITE RADIO


Enjoy over 150 channels, including commercial-free music, sports, news, talk, comedy,
entertainment and a collection of Spanish-language programming. And with All Access,
customers can listen online or on the SiriusXM® app, so they’ll hear the best SiriusXM has to
offer, anytime, anywhere.

All Uconnect® systems equipped with satellite radio include a 12-month trial
subscription to SiriusXM All Access (compared to 3 months for many other OEMs),
which includes every channel of SiriusXM Satellite Radio, plus streaming on the
SiriusXM app and online.

All certified pre-owned (CPO) satellite radio-equipped vehicles are eligible for
a 3-month trial subscription of the SiriusXM All Access package. Download the

HD RADIO
Many local AM and FM stations broadcast a digital signal that delivers additional features
and audio fidelity. Vehicles equipped with HD Radio will have an HD button on the
Uconnect® touchscreen. When tuned to an HD Radio signal, the HD button will light up.
Some FM stations offer multiple channels of audio content, you will see this as 1, 2, 3...
on the touchscreen. Use the Tune/Scroll knob to switch between the different HD content
for that station, or just enjoy the cleaner sound of the main broadcast.

BLUETOOTH® STREAMING AUDIO


Once a device is paired to the Uconnect system via Bluetooth, customers can stream
audio wirelessly from a compatible mobile device by tapping the Media button and
selecting Bluetooth as the Source for playing. Please advise the customer to check with
their cell phone provider for more details.

USB MEDIA PORT


Customers can connect their compatible media device and play all their favorite music
through the USB port in their vehicle, using a cable. Alternatively, vehicles are also
equipped with an AUX port to play audio from a portable device.

UCONNECT® THEATER: CHRYSLER PACIFICA
Your customers can connect compatible smartphones, tablets, gaming systems and
more to the available Uconnect® Theater (not compatible with Apple® devices) so
passengers can watch movies, play games, stream content and surf the internet on the
10.1-inch high-definition touchscreens. They can even charge devices with a variety of
second- and third-row USB an MHL charging ports.

Second-row passengers can stay entertained on the road with included apps
like “Are We There Yet?”, a fun app that tracks a trip on the go, as well as other
games and pastimes like backseat bingo, checkers, tic tac toe, Sudoku and more.

leads the way, providing them guidance to their next destination. These features — along
