COURSE OBJECTIVE:
The objective of this course is to introduced a historical survey of the social, political, economic, cultural
and intellectual history of sub -continent. From the advent of Islam to conquest of Sindh till formation of
Pakistan. Upon successful completion of this course students should be familiar with evolution of the
concept of the two-nation theory, political, social, economic, educational and religious aspects of the
Aligarh Movement, Constitutional process in Pakistan and Basic Principles of Foreign policy of Pakistan.

COURSE OUTLINE:
Introduction of Islam in this region by Muslim Conquerors ,establishment of Muslims ,role of Sufis and
Ulema, role of different dynasty by the Muslims, role of Muslims scholars including Mujadid Alf Sani Sir
Syed Ahmed Khan as the pioneer of the two nation theory and impact of Aligarh Movement in the
formation of Pakistan .History of Pakistan from 1947 till now. Constitutional History of Pakistan,
Geographical condition of Pakistan territorial situation and its importance, Foreign policy of Pakistan and
post -Independence Development in Pakistan.
