WOULD

1. Should have
Uso: para dar consejo sobre algo que paso. También para expresar arrepentimiento
por algo que se hizo o no se hizo.
Examples:

You should have called me when you I should have studied harder!
arrived.
John should have left early, then he I’m sorry that I’m late for work. I
wouldn't have missed the plane. should have woken up earlier.
He should have told the truth about I shouldn't have eaten so much cake,

2. Would have
Uso: para hablar de resultados imaginarios que pudieron haber sucedido en el
pasado. También para expresar una intención pasada.

Examples:
 I would have gone to the party, but I was really busy.
 I would have called you, but I didn't know your number.
 I would have loaned you the money, but I didn’t have any.
 I got 68 points on the test. If I had gotten two more points, I would have
passed.
 It was good to have a guide with us because we wouldn't have made it on our
own.
Exercises
