General remarks
Referring to our Diesel Customer Information No. 277 we
have introduced a new type of vibration damper on our
58/64 medium-speed engines, which differs fundamentally DCI / 305 - May 2011
from the previous design (sleeve springs vs. spring plates).
Concerns
Engines concerned MAN Diesel & Turbo four-stroke
engines 58/64, 58/64CD
The new type of vibration damper is installed in 58/64
engines with serial numbers from 1 110 258 to 1 110 340
as well as in all engines beginning with serial number 1 110 Summary
400 and higher.
